Final Dispositor
|
This is a planet that, directly or indirectly, rules all other planets in the chart. This happens only when the planet is in its own sign, as
well as there being at least one other planet in a sign that the planet rules. By following each planet down from its
sign to that sign's planetary ruler, and from that ruler's sign back to its ruler, all planets must end with that one planet that is in its own
sign: the Final Dispositor. This doesn't work if there is a Mutual Reception (two planets in each other's signs) or if two planets are in their
own signs. Traditionally, there can only be one Final Dispositor.
Example: If Mercury is in Gemini, there needs to be at least one other planet in either Gemini or Virgo. If all planets can trace their
rulerships back to Mercury, then it is the Final Dispositor.
Since we're dealing with rulerships, the question of traditional versus modern rulers is raised. Whichever system you use, it must consistent use only that system
for a planet to be a Final Dispositor. For example, say the Moon is in its own sign of Cancer and Uranus is also in Cancer. If all other planets
can trace their rulership lineage back to Aquarius (which Uranus rules in the modern system) or Cancer, then the Moon is the Final Dispositor in the modern rulership system. However, in
the traditional rulership system, Uranus would not disposit any other planets, since it has no rulership in the traditional system. In that
case, the Moon would only be a Final Dispositor if there was another (traditional) planet in Cancer, and if all other planets were ruled,
directly or indirectly, by either the Moon or that other planet.

Full Moon
|
When the
Moon is full in the sky
(showing a completely round disk), the Sun and Moon are in
an Opposition aspect,
meaning they are opposite each other with the Earth
in the middle. This is a time when the themes
that began at the New Moon (about 14 days before) come to
fruition. Emotions are often at wide open at this time. See also: Lunar
Eclipse, New Moon, Solar
Eclipse. See also the zodiac
article on Cancer for more about the phases of the Moon.
