Grand Cross
|
Aspect configuration. Four
planets visually forming a square around
the chart. It consists of two pairs
of
planets in Opposition
to each other, and in Square aspect
(90 degrees) to the other pair of planets. The energy of the
Grand Cross tends to be intense, stressful,
motivating, dynamic, and having lots of energy. The energy can be used to
do very hard work, but can sometimes get stuck in "workaholic" mode too.
Usually involves planets placed in signs of the same modality. When in
Cardinal signs (Aries,
Cancer,
Libra,
Capricorn), the person can be very goal-driven
and good at starting new projects, but may not follow through to the
end. In
Fixed signs (Taurus,
Leo,
Scorpio,
Aquarius), the person may find it extremely
hard to get started with new projects, as well as finding it hard to let
go and stop when they need rest. In
Mutable signs (Gemini,
Virgo,
Sagittarius,
Pisces), the person may be very adaptable and
flexible...to the point of perhaps being unpredictable, unreliable or
lacking a solid identity. In Huber astrology, this is called an
Achievement Square. See Bruno and Louise Huber's book

Grand Cross Aspect Configuration |
Grand Sextile
|
A very rare aspect configuration. Six
planets spaced equally
around the circle, all in Sextile
aspect (60 degrees) to each other.
There are many sub-configurations contained within it, including two
interlocking
Grand Trines,
Mystic Rectangles and
Wedges, which reflects the great complexity in
this configuration. Contains enormous creative potential which can be used for ingenuity
or manipulation. Sometimes called a "Star of David."
See Bruno and Louise Huber's book
Aspect Pattern Astrology

Grand Trine
|
Aspect
configuration. Three planets in
Trine aspect (120
degrees) to each other, forming
a triangle around the circle of the chart. Looks like an
"equilateral triangle." The planets are typically in
signs that have the same element.
Generally, an easy-flowing
energy, often indicating natural talent in the element involved,
but may be taken for granted and under-used. In Fire
signs (Aries, Leo,
Sagittarius) this can give enormous energy and enthusiasm to the
person...but needs discipline and substance to endure. In
Earth signs (Taurus,
Virgo, Capricorn) this can indicate a
hard worker who is grounded...or a bit pessimistic, demanding or overly
serious. In Air signs (Gemini,
Libra, Aquarius) this can give
intelligence and communication talent...as well as being over-analytical
or over-intellectual. In Water signs
(Cancer,
Scorpio, Pisces) this can indicate a
deeply feeling, sensitive, intuitive and creative person...although can
be overly vulnerable or moody. In Huber astrology, this is called a
Large Talent Triangle. See Bruno and Louise Huber's book
