Apr.02-06 – Venus/Sun OPP Jupiter SXT Neptune (in
Aries/Libra/Aquarius)
Your
eyes may be bigger than your stomach, as they used to say, when
larger-than-life Jupiter dazzles your eyes from afar. Be careful not to
over-spend or over-estimate what you can realistically live up to. Your
courage may get pumped up by something or someone that you feel inspired
by...or judged by. Either way, whatever is instigating your motivation right
now probably looks larger than it really is. Use this energy to move
yourself out of a rut and believe in yourself, but don't make any long-term
promises you can't live up to.

Apr.03 – Daylight Savings Time begins (North America)
This
begins a new process of growth, when you will learn about being assertive,
gently and fairly, while dealing with some hard realities and the need to
accept inherent boundaries (yours and others'). Although issues will require
a fair-minded, impartial view, your impulse may want to be more direct and
passionate. Aim to act from a detached perspective, from your highest
humanitarian and compassionate motives. This New Moon cycle in Aries (until
May.08) allows us all to discover our Aries nature.
This includes exploring
our quest for independence and adventure, our use of courage and impulses,
and our attitudes about anger and assertiveness. However, this New Moon is
also a Solar Eclipse, which greatly intensifies the energy and carries the
themes through the coming 6 months. The next two weeks may be somewhat
intense, leading up to the Lunar Eclipse.

Apr.08-10 – Venus/Sun SQR Saturn (in Aries/Cancer)
Although it might feel like things should be full speed ahead, there are
obstacles in the way and problems that must be solved first. Following the
rules might become a necessity, like spending within your budget, taking
responsibility for your actions, or being accountable for the ways you
strike out for independence. Asserting yourself in close relationships could
force you to face some realities that can't be compromised, but it will help
if you can deal with it and not just react.

Apr.08-13 – Mars CNJ Neptune, TRI Jupiter (in Aquarius/Libra)
Putting your dreams into action may come easily (because you are inspired)
or erratically (because you feel lethargic or overwhelmed). There is great
potential during this time to channel creative inspiration into action,
although if your vision is too larger-than-life or idealistic, it might be
easy to get discouraged. It is a good time to "act outside the box," in
directions that are intuitive, spiritual and unusual.

Apr.11-14 – Venus/Sun TRI Pluto (in
Aries/Sagittarius)
This
is an empowering time when your sense of self can reap the benefits of
transformation work you have been doing. The areas in your life you have
been struggling to change and heal will now start to move forward and fall
into place more easily. Take advantage of this by giving yourself permission
to strut your new true colours that are emerging.

Apr.12 – Mercury goes Direct (in Aries)
Mercury has been retrograde since March 19, urging us to rethink and reflect
on how to bring healing to the way you speak your mind and how you perceive
yourself. You might have discovered how your speech and communication can
inspire confidence or wound by being too abrupt, or both. For the next
couple of weeks, it is time to apply what you've learned by finding ways to
be straightforward and honest without either doing damage or missing the
point.

Apr.15 – Venus in Taurus (until May.10)
Venus
rules the sign of Taurus, so she is quite at home here. Your experience of
pleasure and sensuality is likely to be heightened, as is your wish to be
grounded and down to earth in the way you handle relationships, material
acquisition, discovering what you value, and attracting what you desire. It
is a time when your desires could manifest tangibly or at least become
clearer to you. Your self-worth may be tied to concrete things, which can
act like a "touch stone" for reassurance, but don't let this be a substitute
for genuine self-respect.

Apr.18-23 – Venus/Sun SQR Chiron (in
Taurus/Aquarius)
Your
self-worth and material worth may be strained right now by the urge to break
free of chronic constraints. You are being shown the flaws in the system and
the ways you have stayed attached to compensation that haven't really
brought you the results you want. Taking a fresh approach to it will
probably help, which means being willing to let go of what you think the
results should look like. You might get what you want but in a completely
different form than you expect.

Apr.19 – Sun in Taurus (until May.20)
Happy
Birthday, Taurus! This is a time when we all get in touch with the part of
us that wants things tangible, practical, plentiful and pleasurable! Use
this energy to approach goals in a methodical way, appreciate your
blessings, and understand life at its most concrete, basic level. This might
sound about as exciting as watching the grass grow, but the Taurus way is to
slow down enough that you can experience and take pleasure in the simple
things, in the Here and Now. Enjoy it!

The
Full Moon marks the full emergence of the energy that began at the New Moon
(Apr.08). The Full Moon takes place in
Scorpio, the sign of passion, transformation and confronting one's
Shadow. Your efforts to balance passion and detachment and realism are now
put to the test. The key is to ensure that all these different parts of you
are included in whatever you're doing; you can't give priority to one over
the others. This is also a Lunar Eclipse, so it will manifest the
gradual developments of the last 6 months, since the last Solar Eclipse
(Oct.13). During that time, you were learning to work diplomatically and
fairly with emotional boundaries and limitations. For the next 6 months
(starting with the next 4 weeks) you will apply this learning to the
experience of "being on the outside looking in," which must somehow strike a
balance between your wish for peace and quiet, and your need for passion and
depth. Although your greatest ally is to break free of old, soggy emotional
ruts, you won't be able to escape the need for diplomacy and seeing all
sides of the story.

Apr.28 – Mercury OPP Jupiter (in Aries/Libra)
Simple perceptions and communication can result in greater understanding and
insight, as the possibilities, opportunities and broader implications of
your current situations become more evident. You may experience a flash of
vision and inspiration (possibly through communication with someone). Or,
you might be called upon to form an opinion, consider a different viewpoint,
expand your knowledge or deal with judgement (your own or others'). This
requires that you find a balance between your own interests and what is fair
and harmonious with all concerned.

Apr.29 – Venus SQR Neptune (in Taurus/Aquarius)
Your
experience of finances, material abundance, relationships and pleasure could
be subject to confusion, deception or wishful thinking. If so, look inside
to discover and unearth what your secret longing or hidden agenda might be,
as that is likely driving your situation from the unconscious. In doing so,
you will need to find a better way to resolve conflicts between the need for
concrete actuality versus idealistic individualism.

Apr.30 – Mars in Pisces (until Jun.11)
This
is a kinder, gentler Mars than most of us are used to, acting and reacting
from a place of compassion, intuition and romanticism. Although it may be
easier to take action "as the spirit moves," be careful not to get stuck by
being too passive, passive-aggressive or trapped in a victim mentality. On
the other hand, this can be a very creative and intuitive time, when you are
inspired to go in new directions, to act on your highest motives, and to
transmute anger and resentment into a more spiritual form of creative
energy.
