For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 4th House of family,
Father, childhood, home base, need for nurturing, security and belonging,
and the past.)
Inspired courage and action are abundant during this
cycle, especially coming to the defence of injustice that is heartfelt. The
need for nurturing and protection of your family or yourself may be the
trigger that moves you to want to act directly and quickly. There is no
shortage of courage and daring. In fact, you may overestimate how much force
is necessary and wind up being over-reactive or reckless, which could bring
a reaction of judgement or defensiveness from the other person. There is a
strong opportunity to engage in inspired creativity and harmonious
interaction with others. But there are also hidden forces lurking behind the
scenes that seem to mysteriously disrupt or complicate this potential. Your
own impulse to make sure that your own interests and vision are not
forgotten may also create as many problems as it solves. If you look
closely, you may see that you're partly motivated by unresolved anger from
the past and you're trying to prevent an unpleasant history from repeating
itself. The challenges become: How do you assert and protect your needs
without over-reacting? And how do you deal with those hidden chaotic forces
that interfere with the positive potential with others, which you just know
is there if that conflict would just go away? The answer lies in adopting a
certain spiritual detachment that allows you to see the larger potential and
implications of what's happening, and then respond (not react) to your
immediate environment within the context of your highest principles.

ARIES
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 10th House of career,
goals, ambitions, authority, public recognition, Mother, social reputation
and roles in society.)
It may seem like everything has changed now! You
have a chance to start to manifest your ambitions and goals, but you still
have unfinished business and unripened ideas that need to be dealt with
first. Whereas your challenge had been in the area of how to keep from
overreacting to your need to protect your interests, they have now shifted
to having to take a hard look at your own sense of self to strengthen some
of the weak links you still carry from your past. Although you would like to
fix this quickly and cleanly, it will turn out to be a long-term unfolding
journey. The first step in that journey is now, when you need to confront
the tug of war between your desire to preserve your freedom without
sacrificing acceptance by the Powers That Be, versus your desire to manifest
your dreams without compromising your individuality and independence. This
will require your courage and commitment, but you are up to the challenge.
In about a week, patience will be a little easier to access, although you
may embrace this reluctantly. You may also think the inevitable slowing down
(that's necessary for patience and methodical success) means you are failing
or running out of gas, although that's not the purpose of this shift in
energy. Rather, this is a time when you need to commit to simply doing the
work that is necessary to achieve your goals and learn new ways of
responding to triggering circumstances. Trust the process and it will lead
you to a place of revitalisation.

TAURUS
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 3rd House of intellect,
communication, ideas, perceptions, learning, neighbours, commerce,
short-distance travel, and information exchange.)
Thoughts, words and perceptions are intuitively inspired
and seem to flow from a hidden wellspring. While this can have a magical,
idealistic or liberating quality, it can also be disconcerting to someone
who prefers to deal with things at a more concrete, predictable level. There
is excellent potential to harmonise your ideas with others who have a
compatible vision with yours, especially in work, projects or practical
activities. However, this may become complicated by a conflicting or
ever-changing vision of the Collective—whether that is a company you are
doing the work for, or your colleagues or peers, or group pressure from
society at large. Although you may feel the impulse to step out of the box a
bit and take some risks (or just get angry out of frustration), you might
also feel some hesitation due to lack of confidence or a need to protect
yourself. All of these needs and impulses are valid—it's a question of how
to juggle them all in a way that keeps them all in balance, without dropping
one in order to keep another one in the air. The answer lies in looking at
the situation within a context of the bigger picture, and allowing yourself
to detach from getting caught up in the immediate issues. Stay focused on
the potential you know is there in the work you want to accomplish and the
people involved in shared projects, and use that to keep adjusting your
direction in small ways to find the niche that will fit your vision. Take it
in smaller bits—aim to achieve the small, unique successes within the larger
potential, rather than feeling you're suppose to conquer it all at once.

TAURUS
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 9th House of spirituality,
beliefs, truth-seeking, justice, philosophy, knowledge, teaching,
publishing, long-distance travel, foreign lands and languages, and
multiculturalism.)
Your vision of what is possible can finally start to be
put into concrete form, although your path may be a twisting, turning one,
rather than straightforward and direct. You may need to re-examine the
ethics, implications or practicality of what you hope to achieve or how you
intend to get there. The foundation on which you want to build your
ambitions has shifted from when you started at the New Moon, requiring that
you commit yourself even further than you might have anticipated. If it
feels like you are blocked right now, this is more likely a natural
consequence of the reality that you need to work with over time, than an
omen that your plans are not "meant to be." Your encounter with the
Collective since the New Moon (in whatever form that may have taken) may
have unearthed other issues related to a struggle between answering to the
authority of others versus being your own authority. You may also be
teetering between your experience of the past as a supportive "rudder" that
steers you toward your chosen future, versus seeing the past as a predictive
indicator that limits what you can and can't do with your future. For the
coming few weeks, allow yourself to "be with" your struggle without needing
to take final action. There is some rethinking and reframing to be done over
the next three weeks about how to address your situation. You will also
likely find that the action you can take becomes clearer and more solid
after the 28th, although there is still more research to be done before you
can really start to make progress. Trust the process.

GEMINI
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 2nd House of finances,
income, expenses, possessions, resources, self-worth, and material security
and values.)
Cultivating a deeper sense of security (personal and
material) can breathe new life into your career and life goals during this
cycle. However, there is tension between your creative potential and your
encounters with groups, friends and colleagues, which may make it difficult
to feel that security or stability are possible right now. There is a lot of
promise in your interactions with others, especially those who are
creatively inclined or those who believe in you and mirror a vision of what
you are truly capable of. And yet, there is disruption and confusion that
interferes with the smooth flow of that interaction. Much of this is due to
the fact that your goals and life direction have been changing over the last
couple of years and you may not be quite so sure what direction is right for
you anymore. It may feel like a catch-22, where you can't progress in the
here-and-now until you figure out where you're going, but you can't
determine where you're going until you get grounded in the here-and-now
first. Ironically, it is this very struggle that will enable you to take
another step on your journey. By networking with the allies, mentors and
social contacts in your life, you can gain valuable here-and-now resources
that can help stabilise and steer the emerging ambitions that have been
shaking up your familiar world.

GEMINI
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 8th House of power,
empowerment, control, intensity, deep psychology, death, rebirth,
transformation and sexuality.)
The process of stabilising your newly emerging
ambitions, since the New Moon, now morphs into a quest to establish dominion
over those chaotic forces, although this is not as simple as it may seem.
You are in a period of transition, which means control must be achieved
through stability of movement and change. Trying to force your circumstances
to stay put long enough to get a handle on them will likely result in a
conflict of interest with others who are in a position of power. Two
self-examining questions emerge, for your consideration: Are you trying to
establish control so that your individual freedom is protected (perhaps at
the price of others having to sacrifice theirs, or hoping you can be exempt
from following the same rules as everyone else)? And, is it also possible
you are trying to stabilise your foundation of security, so that you will
have something predictable to hold onto (yet which might ultimately limit
your potential and self-expression)? The point is not to figure out the
right or wrong answers, but to use the information to delve into your deeper
motivations behind your quest to manifest your ambition. This
self-examination and reframing process will continue to unfold over the next
several weeks. The path of action you see before you will shift after the
28th, and you will likely find it works better to walk steadily rather than
sprint. The work of the next several months will also probably need to be
done alone or internally, to some extent, so now is the time to set up your
inner workshop.

CANCER
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 1st House of self, outer
personality, appearance, vitality and self-assertion.)
This is your New Moon, Cancer! This cycle will begin an
exciting period of new growth, learning and healing that have effects beyond
this four-week cycle. How you put yourself out in the world now can make a
difference now to your career and goals, as well as your support system
(network of people and resources that support you). There is tension right
now between your drive to get somewhere in your life and your wish for a
comfortable nest in which to relax and enjoy life—and both are valid needs!
It may seem like you have to choose one and sacrifice the other. Or, your
support system (family, friends, mentors, teachers, spiritual support, home
base, etc.) may want you to go in one direction, whereas your individuality
is drawn in another direction, putting you at odds with the very resources
you need to succeed. It is important now to find a path through this jungle
that leads to all the different needs, interests, desires and priorities in
your life. Your support system is very important to you, but so are the
drives, ambitions and dreams that form and express your individuality. The
question becomes: How do you find the courage to risk losing some of that
support without just throwing it away? Or, put another way, how do you
satisfy the people and systems that support you while still preserving your
right to make your own decisions? The key lies in keeping your
communication, negotiation, interaction and self-expression open and
flowing. If you can keep these lines of information and inspiration flowing,
it will help to provide a more stable foundation for the visionary ideals
and larger-than-life principles that are struggling to be included in the
gameplan.

CANCER
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 7th House of Significant
Others, relationships, partnerships, inter-connectedness with others, style
of interaction, and balance.)
Your struggle to balance your own interests with those
of your support people and home base now evolves into a more personal quest
to synchronize who you are with the Significant Others in your life. This
balancing act has far greater implications than might be seen on the
surface. It signifies a transition in your life from who you are, as defined
by your past and your support people, and who you are trying to become, as
defined by the spirit of who you are. This is a time to examine how you
might be letting your relationships with others shape who you are, in
exchange for getting the support structure you need. This is important
because there is a need right now to break away from that structure and find
your own path, including becoming more self-defining. Your career, goals and
ambitions are the initial proving ground for this, which shifts to your
relationship to the greater community (groups, friends, colleagues,
organisations, etc.) after the 28th. Again, it is important to remember that
all these different needs, urges, desires, priorities, principles and
circumstances have their own validity and need to be equally taken into
account as you travel through this time. The next three weeks will provide a
time to meditate and process your observations about this complex puzzle, so
don't feel you're doing badly if it takes some time to sort all this out.
This is a long-term process.

LEO
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 12th house of spirituality,
compassion, isolation, inner focus, meditation, escapism, addiction and
universal love and beauty.)
Spirituality is the answer! What was the question...?
That's your mission right now—trying to figure out how spirituality,
beliefs, philosophy and a quest for meaning fit into your worldview. Deep
inside you may feel a sensitivity or longing, which stems from a deep need
to feel loved, protected and connected to the Universe (something greater
than yourself, in whatever way that makes sense to you). This might be
inspired by a passion for truth and learning that requires you to surrender
to the Great Unknown. Or, it could be triggered by a challenge to your
convictions that makes you feel you must either defend or question your
beliefs. Either way, your strength right now is your ability to communicate
with diplomacy and charm and to approach your quest as an exploration of
ideas (not a mandate to find conclusions). However, there is an undercurrent
that keeps stirring up the pot, causing your best efforts to become
unpredictable or paradoxical. The question becomes: What will give you the
confidence to let yourself take the risk and surrender to that undercurrent
(which has something important to teach you)? It seems like a catch-22: If
you try to control the process, you'll shut it down; and if you abandon all
control, you could get lost in it. Actually, the answer is hiding in plain
sight. By strengthening your ability to explore and share ideas with
others—especially with a teacher, mentor or spiritual advisor (or by putting
yourself in these roles)—you can create a stream of consciousness that can
act as a channel for that unpredictable undercurrent.

LEO
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 6th House of work and
service (paid or volunteer), health and healing, analysis and organisation,
and your contribution to the world.)
It is now time to take all that intangible exploration
since the New Moon and begin to put it into a more concrete form and apply
it in a practical way, although this could be tricky to do. Your inward
journey to the centre of your spirit has brought you to a place where you
have to take a hard look at who you really are under your masks (and we all
have masks). Does your outer persona truly reflect your inner spirit? You
may find there's work to be done to bring the two into sync with each other.
Is it enough to take your highest creative source and channel it into a
manifest container that meets the expectations of others? You could discover
that there is a nonconformist or individualist inside you that is longing to
be expressed, but you might risk falling from grace with the authority
figures and Powers That Be in your life. You have some decisions to make
that may not be easy, but you're not meant to do this all at once. For the
next few weeks you can meditate, ponder and explore ideas about how to
establish a new balance of inner and outer priorities. After the 28th, it
may become easier to see the concrete steps you need to take to manifest
your deeper dreams and spirit over the long run.

VIRGO
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 11th House of friends,
peers, colleagues and co-workers, groups, organisations, community at large
and vision of the future.)
There is a subtle whispering message to be heard
regarding your relationship with the Collective (friends, acquaintances,
colleagues, organisations, groups and the communities you are involved in).
At first the message you hear may be loud, aggressive or intense, as you
struggle with the need to assert your individuality and independence, versus
the need to share a common worldview with the Collective as a resource for
that independence and individuality to draw from. It may seem that you can't
have both, or that the consequence of having one takes away from the
benefits of the other. Part of the problem is that what you are looking for
in your connection to others is changing. This applies both to those close
to you (lovers, close friends, partners of all kinds) and to those who are
part of the detached Collective (acquaintances, colleagues, members of your
communities). This greatly complicates your relationships with both, making
it difficult to know how to preserve your independence while maintaining a
comfortable place in the community. The question becomes: How can you create
a workable balance between these seemingly conflicting needs, priorities,
principles and expectations? The answer lies within, through the still small
voice that comes from the spirit of who you are. The more you are able to
focus into that whisper, the louder and more distinct it will become, and
the loud voice of outer conflict can fade into a more reasonable
perspective. Who you are does not have to conflict with the Collective, but
you do need to find a balance point at your deepest Source inside yourself,
rather than externally where you feel you must compete within the world's
power dynamics.

VIRGO
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 5th House of identity,
individuality, selfhood, children, fun, love affairs, creative
self-expression and "joi de vivre.")
As you become more attuned to that still small voice of
your spirit within, since the New Moon, you will find that it leads to the
need to find concrete ways to manifest, ground and outwardly express that
inner Self. It is not enough to simply be aware of that inner spiritual
Source (although awareness is the essential first step); you need to do
something with it—use it or lose it. But relax: it doesn't have to be done
all at once, and in fact this transition will be a long-term process of
unfolding the layers of implications and consequences that must dealt with.
For starters, you must reconcile your need to feel nurtured and embraced by
others with a deeper knowledge that we are all ultimately alone in our
connection to the Universe. From another perspective, you have a need to
conform to the status quo and "fit in" and yet there is also a part of you
that wants to rebel and live free of external expectations. You are in a
transition of finding a balance point between these different needs and
priorities—finding ways to take that inner balance point that you found
since the New Moon and applying it externally in your work, actions and
relationships (especially after the 28th). The next few weeks will give you
a chance to ponder and analyze how to understand and work with the dynamics
involved, but the answers you come up with initially will likely be more
intuitive impressions than solid logic. Give it time (a few weeks) and the
pieces will finally start to fit together.

LIBRA
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 10th House of career, goals,
ambitions, authority, public recognition, Mother, social reputation and
roles in society.)
Your ambitions and goals can benefit from some active
networking and schmoozing in the coming cycle, and your negotiation skills
will be required in this quest to find a better balance of priorities in
your goals and ambitions. You might find yourself in a conflict of interest
with a Significant Other (like a spouse, close friend or business partner)
over conflicting priorities to do with work, career plans or public
recognition. You may also need to reconcile the principles, ideals or ethics
of your ambitions with the aggressive, uncompromising or compelling action
that must be taken in order to achieve them. Part of what is happening is
that your priorities are changing in terms of how you use your time and
energy in service to higher objectives—your own, society's, or life itself.
The question becomes: Whose priorities and authority get precedence? And,
how can you respond on a practical, fundamental level to the call of change,
aspiration and ambition that goes beyond simple tasks? The answer lies in
your connection to allies, associates, peers, friends, social contacts,
organisations and communities. There you can find like-minded individuals
and information that can support your best judgement and help you discover
your highest vision of what is possible. Strengthening these ties can help
to bring the confusion of everyday activities into clearer focus, and allow
you to detach from the details enough to slow down the knee-jerk reactions.

LIBRA
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 4th House of family, Father,
childhood, home base, need for nurturing, security and belonging, and the
past.)
Before you are ready to move into the future, you must
first do closure with the past and take stock of your personal needs within
the context of the detached, sometimes-impersonal world. You are in a
transition now between the ambitions you have held in the past and the
reality of what is necessary to make them happen. On the other hand, you
also need to bridge the gap between the conventional requirements of your
support system (family, authority figures, associations or societal
standards) versus a part of you that would love to break free of the mould
and create something truly special and inspiring. This will be a long-term
process of discovery and manifestation, so don't feel you're supposed to do
this all at once. The next few weeks will give you a chance to ponder your
future possibilities and your place within them. After the 28th, conflicts
or activities with Significant Others will slow down to allow you to delve
deeper into the underlying issues. This can shift the emphasis of your
long-term journey from forceful reaction and inspired action to
concentrating your energy and practical planning. After the Full Moon, you
may also shift your focus to work more behind the scenes. You might need to
spend more time alone, and you may be more sensitive and receptive to your
intuition and dreams than usual.

SCORPIO
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 9th House of spirituality,
beliefs, truth-seeking, justice, philosophy, knowledge, teaching/learning,
publishing, long-distance travel, foreign lands and languages, and
multiculturalism.)
Your longing to belong to something greater than
yourself, as a spiritual focus, needs to find ways to manifest in practical,
productive ways. To do this, you must confront some fundamental conflicts
between being guided through life from an intangible inner harmony versus
making things happen through sheer force of will. The tension generated from
feeling torn by these contradictory approaches may cause you to question
your knowledge and understanding of the meaning of life. To complicate
matters, your creativity is being shaken up, as part of a long-term quest to
connect with your authentic self beyond surface personality or ego. The
challenge is this: You do need to maintain an inner peaceful balance (which
requires stillness and calm); and you also need to keep moving in your
everyday routines (like your job, or taking care of your health, or the
smaller tasks that together move you toward your long-term goals). How can
you do both of these without feeling like you're losing touch with your
larger purpose (connecting to and expressing your higher self)? Fortunately
you can tap into creative potential by sharing and pooling information,
ideas and networking contacts, especially with people who know you well and
support your goals. That quiet place inside you is rich with understanding
and wisdom, which can be drawn out and channelled into creative expression,
with the help of like-minded people and by communicating that knowledge
(like writing). This creative flow can help to satisfy both sides of the
dilemma.

SCORPIO
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 3rd House of intellect,
communication, ideas, perceptions, learning, neighbours, commerce,
short-distance travel, and information exchange.)
The potential for communication now becomes a
necessity—at least, to take the ideas you've been exploring since the New
Moon and do something concrete with them. However, this isn't likely to be
straightforward because your quest has brought you to a place of transition
that is complex. On one hand it has come time to get serious about your
career and long-term concrete goals, but you may feel reluctant to commit to
the work for fear that you'll lose touch with your inspiration. On the other
hand, there is plenty of creative flow for that communication and
expression, but you may be distracted by a concern that what you have to
offer won't fit with what is expected. But this is a longer-term process, so
don't think you have to resolve it instantly. It is important to stay with
the struggle, even though it might feel like a catch-22 (can't win), because
it will keep you moving through the smaller tasks that lead to where you
want to go. The next few weeks will give you an opportunity to go back over
your plans, goals and decision-making agenda, to rethink and fine-tune your
strategy and to give you some time to do research and gather the ingredients
you'll need later on. After the 28th, you may also find that working closely
and methodically with other people can gradually put some of the building
blocks in place.

SAGITTARIUS
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 8th House of power,
empowerment, control, intensity, deep psychology, death, rebirth,
transformation and sexuality.)
You have been expanding your horizons through your
relationships within the Collective since last September (friends,
associates, mentors, advisors, groups, communities, etc.). You now need to
balance that Collective perspective with your own personal empowerment and
individuality. You may feel some ambivalence or conflict between what you
want and what others want, or between the expression of your own
individuality and independence versus the "shining examples" that are held
up for you by others (which you might feel either envious or resentful
about). However, social interaction, dialogue and networking with those
Collective people (especially mentors, teachers or advisors) contain great
potential and strength for you right now. The trick is that there are some
disruptive "ghosts" from your past that need to be exorcised and set free,
in order for that positive connection to work well. Those "ghosts" might be
difficult conditioning from your childhood, or frustrating relationships
with your current family, or personal feelings and needs that you wish you
didn't have (but are part of your human make-up), or even unfinished
business to do with your home that prevents you from moving forward in your
life. And yet, it may seem like you can't release those "ghosts" until you
feel a more positive connection to a better future through that Collective.
But you have a particular opportunity right now to discover and explore that
positive connection, and if you can strengthen your ties to that Collective
now, it will help you find a healthy detachment from the past that will
allow you to release some of it and reclaim some of the personal empowerment
you seek.

SAGITTARIUS
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 2nd House of finances,
income, expenses, possessions, resources, self-worth, and material security
and values.)
It might seem like everything has changed by now from
your situation at the New Moon. Your relationship with the Collective may
now feel like you are dealing with authority and structured rules, which has
both advantages and disadvantages. Although it may feel like you've just
swapped one disruptive "ghost" for another, don't assume that new struggles
indicate failure to make progress with old ones. You are in transition now,
which has greater implications than you might think. On one hand, you may
now see a way to fit in with the conventional mainstream in a way that
eluded you before; but there's also a individualistic or nonconformist part
of you that can't be dismissed or forgotten, and will probably not be easy
to integrate. On the other hand, you have circumstances and realities that
need to be dealt with, and your (human) need to have a place to belong and
some security may see that mainstream as something that could solve a lot of
problems (for example, a better ability to deal with authority and embrace
that quality in yourself). However, it will involve making some hard
decisions and allowing the experience to shape you and prune back some of
the deadwood in your life. This is part of a long-term maturation process,
though (about two years), and will ultimately leave you stronger and more
capable than it found you. By July 28th, your energy will likely be more
grounded and less impulsive—which may feel like you're coming down with
something, but is meant to slow you down enough to give you time to consider
your plan of action. For the next few weeks, you will have the chance to
reconsider your experiences of the last two weeks and reframe them in a way
that prepares you for the long-term journey ahead.

CAPRICORN
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 7th House of Significant
Others, relationships, partnerships, inter-connectedness with others, style
of interaction, and balance.)
You are coming to the end of a two-year cycle, which has
been focused on relationships and partnerships, and how these are connected
to your need to have a place to belong and to have emotional security. This
particular cycle brings into focus the ways that your past interferes with
your career ambitions and life goals, and how your aspirations and dreams
pull you away from really dealing with old unsatisfied desires and
unresolved anger. This tension is likely to be played out in close
relationships, partnerships and perhaps opponents. Communication may be
tense, erratic or fragmented, and it might feel like your goals and
aspirations, and the publicity, mentors and networking that can help you
achieve them, are bogging down in confusion and conflict. You have a saving
grace though, in the form of dialogue and interaction with contacts
(business, social or sexual) who understand you and can help you connect
with that deep flow of inspiration and passion. If you can keep investing in
those passionate and inspirational connections (especially within yourself),
it can create a conduit that channels the inspired perceptions and flashes
of ideas that have been hard to integrate or utilise. This will also help
you see that the possibilities you are trying to manifest in your life are
not lost at all, but are merely tangled up in complexity and greater
implications than you thought. The best understanding will be found in the
"big picture" perspective, while staying grounded in the personal
perspective through your needs and feelings.

This lunar cycle brings a major shift in your life,
since the Full Moon is in your sign of Capricorn, and because your ruling
planet, Saturn, has just changed signs (which only happens every two years).
But even though your basic planetary energy has changed, the transition for
you is a gradual one over the next few weeks. On one hand you are already
starting to focus on your deeper passions (both creative and sexual) and
sensing that these need to be weeded out, reformed and developed, so that
they can be put to constructive and healing use. But you also need to
include your emotional need for closeness and belonging that have come to
light over the last couple of years. On the other hand, you may also be
anticipating how restructuring your approach to relationships could give you
a greater sense of security and a clearer sense of where you belong—and a
stronger sense of self, as a result. But not all of you can be comfortable
conforming to the rules that are necessary to make that happen; there is an
unconventional streak lurking under the tailored surface of every Capricorn,
and this needs to be included in the plan or it could trip you up. For the
next few weeks, you will get a chance to reconsider all the aspects of this
transition and delve deep into this new self-awareness, which will help you
refocus your perceptions about where you're going. After July 28th, some of
that unresolved anger and desire that's being triggered by the transition,
will slow down and be more easily applied to that restructuring process,
which will continue through the rest of this year.

AQUARIUS
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 6th House of work and
service (paid or volunteer), health and healing, analysis and organisation,
and your contribution to the world.)
A dynamic energy between your ideas and your greater
understanding finds an outlet through your work and health. At its best,
there is a creative tension that seeks to combine and bring into balance
your driving motivation and your higher ethics, aspirations and a quest for
truth. This tension may be used to bring about better self-care habits and
nurturing creative projects. At less than its best, this energy can create
arguments and conflicts about differing opinions and assumptions. This makes
it difficult to let the creative juices flow in your work and could disrupt
your sense of connection to your family (either your birth family or your
chosen "family" in adulthood), and your health may be affected by stress.
This may trigger doubts and concerns about cash flow or a deeper sense of
whether you possess a true connection to the people you feel close to. And
yet, relationships and interactions with others seem to go well in other
ways, so it may be hard to figure out what's really going on. Part of the
answer is that you are at the end of a long-term (two-year) cycle and so
much of your connection to others is about to shift. You can gain strength
by communicating and connecting with those close to you—especially mentors,
teachers, spiritual advisors, and those who inspire you and support your
wisdom. This can provide a safety net of hope and a broader context, so that
any conflicts can be put into a more manageable perspective.

For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 12th house of
spirituality, compassion, isolation, inner focus, meditation, escapism,
addiction, and universal love and beauty.)
The more things change, the more they remain the
same, it seems...or do they? It's true that much has changed since the New
Moon, but you are still in transition so expect to be in flux for a few
weeks yet. On one hand, your quest for truth and higher principles has led
to the need to experience that spiritual perspective through something more
concrete and straightforward; but there's also a part of you that knows that
not all knowledge worth having will fit inside a neat package, and this part
of you may be tempted to reject your experience. On the other hand, your
whole experience of relating to others and how you interact with the world
has already started to shift toward something more concrete, and you may be
seeing the need for changes in these areas. But changes can be distressing
to the part of you that would prefer to feel secure and comfortable in those
relationships. It's a complex dilemma that comes out in the area of
communications and perceptions, possibly triggering more argument or just a
defiant push to be heard. After July 28th this high emotional energy will
probably slow down a bit and become more grounded and pragmatic. For the
next few weeks, you have the chance to rethink what you really want out of
your relationships and interactions, although it wouldn't be good to simply
replay everything in your head. Use the time to talk things through or to
view them from a different perspective.

PISCES
For NEW MOON Cycle in Cancer
July 6 to August 4, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 5th House of identity,
individuality, selfhood, children, fun, love affairs, creative
self-expression and "joi de vivre.")
You have been nurturing projects and growth in the areas
of selfhood, creative expression and love, and it may be time to wrap it up
or make a final decision about it. But there's something holding you back
from doing that. This may involve a conflict of shared ideology versus
personal instinct, or an uphill climb to get the resources you need to
support your creative projects. At a certain level, it may relate to a power
struggle between your individual talents and values versus the potential and
wisdom you want from other people. It may feel like you need to resolve this
tension before you can move ahead, and to be sure, this is not an easy
situation to resolve. The thing is: There's a more detached part of you that
knows better; that can see beyond the emotional dynamics and surface events,
and views your situation within a bigger picture. In the meantime, your
horizon of growth has been expanding in the last several months into a
deeper, darker jungle of understanding power dynamics, mysteries and
undercurrents, which you are gradually illuminating. You have an opportunity
right now to light some torches in that jungle, using work, service and
wholesome healing that involve interaction and dialogue with others. The
problem is that this deeper, detached wisdom that keeps popping up doesn't
seem to mirror back quite what you expected you would be feeling about doing
that service, and it might be tempting to conclude that you're doing
something wrong. But don't let this inconsistency stop you, because
underneath it lies yet another mystery to be illuminated—except this one
only reveals itself indirectly, through your "intuitive peripheral vision."
Whatever major decisions you make during this time, keep moving through and
trusting the greater process.

PISCES
For FULL MOON in Capricorn
July 21, 2005
(Takes place in your solar 11th House of friends,
peers, colleagues and co-workers, groups, organisations, community at large
and vision of the future.)
The reality of your situation should be becoming a bit
clearer and more solid now, although not necessarily easier to get a handle
on. This is because you are in a transition that is gradually shifting into
a new cycle of growth and manifestation. On one hand, you are more able to
get a solid handle on that detachment that has been surfacing over the last
couple of years, possibly through friends or community or seeing a clearer
vision of the future. But there's still that part of you that knows there is
always a "factor x" that means nothing can ever be fully predictable. On the
other hand, it is time to make some serious choices that will bring a deeper
commitment to the forms of service, work and healing in your life. But you
may be feeling some concern about how much you'll be able to include your
own needs, interests, identity or creative freedom in order to fulfil those
commitments. This transitional tension and complexity might challenge you to
gather more resources to cushion the coming changes, or to energise your
fundamental sense of self to see you through this period. However, after
July 28th you will likely find that this tension starts to shift a bit, to
slow down and become more manageable. The next few weeks will also give you
a chance to plan out your path and figure out the best way to approach these
new projects and commitments, to ensure your own needs and priorities are
satisfied.
