![]() October 2005Oct.01 Mars stationary Retrograde (in Taurus) ("What's a station?" More about stations)Mars now turns retrograde until Dec.09, creating a
need to reconsider the direction and use of our energy. For up to a week
before and after, your physical energy may be a bit erratic or wonkyhere
one minute and gone the next; active one minute and lethargic the next.
Forward progress that was made over the last couple of months may seem like
it has hit a roadblock or forced into an annoying detour. Anger can flare
easily out of frustration and trying to push through the obstacles that
don't want to budge. This can also trigger old unresolved anger, which might
need to be worked through over the coming retrograde period. Although this
might sound like a totally negative experience, it's not! The retrograde
period can also be a time of rest, regrouping and coasting for a while. It
is a time to take stock of what you are investing your energy and ambition
in. It is a time to evaluate whether your plans and actions are working for
you, or whether you need to make some adjustments in your direction, or
whether you need to consider a complete change of direction. Think of it as
taking inventory and revising your goals and plans for your life over the
next two years (until the next Mars retrograde).
Oct.01 Sun sextile Saturn (in Libra/Leo)You have an opportunity now to make some progress
in obtaining results in your projects, career, ambitions and creative
expression. It is possible to tap into a disciplined mindset, which can be
used to take some steps toward whatever you're trying to manifest. This will
not simply be handed to youyou'll have to work for itbut the potential is
there more-so than at other times. It is also possible to make a clear
decision about something you've been wrestling with. Choose wisely, since
you will likely get what you ask for, but it won't actually manifest until
later. For now, this is a time to decide and point yourself in the direction
of your choice.
Oct.01 Venus opposite Mars (in Scorpio/Taurus)Your receptive, diplomatic side is arguing with
your assertive, upfront side. The result can be either a battle of wills
between Yin and Yang (yours or others'), or a new creative dynamic that
brings both into a new balance. This could manifest in the form of
relationship issues, financial struggles, or arguments about control. Or,
you might feel it is time to take action with plans that have been
percolating for a while, especially related to beauty, love, relationships,
money, spending and negotiation. If you're usually more comfortable with Yin
energy (receptive, diplomatic, beauty oriented), you might feel unusually
sensitive to aggressive or forceful energy from others. At worst, you might
feel backed into a corner or even bullied by someone who comes across as
angry, pushy or (over)enthusiastic. If you're more at home with Yang energy
(assertive, action-oriented, direct), you may feel pressured or manipulated
to tone down your energy level to make it more socially acceptable. Either
way, this is about finding a new cooperative balance that works for both
sides, through compromise, negotiation and conflict resolution.
Oct.03, 6:27 AM EDT SOLAR ECLIPSE New Moon in Libra ("What's a Solar Eclipse?" "What's a New Moon?")The New Moon Eclipse (solar eclipse) is in Libra, which begins a new four-week cycle focused on relationships, love, beauty, harmony, balance and diplomacy. This is a busy and challenging cycle! There's more to this cycle than we see on the surface of events. The Yod Kite involving the Venus-Mars opposition and mutual reception is still in effect. This contributes a paradoxical and frustrating but growth-oriented energy. The Venus-Mars opposition is a strong focal point of the Solar Eclipse chart, creating much competitive tension between Yin and Yang energies in our lives. The Mars energy, having just turned retrograde, is difficult to put into action and feels like a roadblock or detour that seems to take us away from our chosen direction. However, its purpose is to take us back to redo, rethink and redirect our drives and desires in a more effective direction. Venus, which rules the New Moon in Libra, is left as the dominant force of the two. Our Yin side may resort to manipulative control and hidden agendas to fulfil our desires. Or, we could use this time to learn a better approach to empowerment based on diplomacy, authenticity and loyalty. Our strongest assets during this cycle involve combining diplomatic justice with ethical power, and blending a focus on love and beauty with discipline that keeps our egos from running amok. These strengths will contribute a more stable foundation and balance, as we encounter some rather erratic and disruptive, yet transformative forces. Check out the New Moon Horoscopes to find out how all this will affect your Sun Sign. The Solar Eclipse is a supercharged New Moon, that
is so closely aligned that the Moon casts a shadow on the Earth. We see this
as an eclipse of the Sun. You must NEVER stare directly at a solar
eclipse or you could permanently damage your eyesight! This is an
"Annular Eclipse," meaning the Moon doesn't quite cover the Sun, resulting
in a "ring of fire" effecta pronounced circle of light around the edge of
the Sun. October's eclipse is best viewed from Africa (esp. central and
northeast), Europe (esp. western) and the Middle East.
Oct.03 Mercury sextile Pluto (in Libra/Sagittarius)Deep insights and passionate communication are
possible under this transit ...although, so is speaking more forcefully than
you intend to about things that require a bit of delicacy or discretion. If
you have been working on trying to understand the deeper motivations and
dynamics of what is happening in your life, you could get a bit of a
breakthrough now. The light may finally go on in the darker corners that
have eluded you, if you stretch your mind a bit to reach for it. There might
be an opportunity to shed and leave behind old worn out perceptions or
ineffective forms of communication. You also have an increased ability to
take thoughts, ideas and information and transform them into something
healing ...or wounding. Choose your words carefully and mindfully. Writing
down your thoughts and ideas to capture the energy of this transit can help
you gather the deeper qualities.
Oct.05 Chiron stationary Direct (in Capricorn) ("What's a station?" More about stations)For up to a week before and after this date, you
may feel a bit like you're caught between worldsthe spiritual versus the
physical, the mental versus the emotional, or the outer objective world
versus your inner subjective experience. Chiron has been retrograde since
May.08, giving us time to assess the places in our lives that need healing
and to discover the ways that we might be wounding ourselves or others. This
includes physical health issues, emotional vulnerability and mental
perspectives that create more problems than they solve. As Chiron turns
direct, everything we have learned over the last five months becomes ready
to be applied over the coming three months (while Chiron is still in the
Shadow). Right now, you might find you reach a decision or turning point
about issues you have wrestled with since May concerning goals, career,
expectations or authority. If these issues have been stressful, this might
come out now in the form of health problems, so it's a good idea to be
gentle yet disciplined with yourself in this area. It could be a time of
ambiguity, feeling like you're caught in a whirlpool that mixes up
possibilities with limitations. Or, you might experience some clarity, as
the paradoxical coexistence of realities and potentials on the path before
you come into clearer focus. Either way, it is a time that can be magical
because of its ability to bridge the gap between what is and what might be.
Oct.05 Mercury conjunct Jupiter (in Libra)This aspect can make you quite talkative and your
mind flooded with ideas. Be careful you don't blurt out any secrets! Your
stream of consciousness ideas can flow abundantly right now with optimism
and visionary possibilities. Write down your best ideas for later
development, since you may be having too much fun playing with ideas, to
stop and make them manifest. Basic perceptions and simple communication can
provide food for thought that feeds your greater understanding and
philosophical insight. Your point of view expands to identify opportunities,
possibilities and the broader implications of what is happening around you.
You might get a flash of vision, insight and inspiration. You could be
called upon to form an opinion, consider a different viewpoint, expand your
knowledge, or make a judgement call. Your conscious awareness is open to
spiritual experiences right now.
Oct.05 Venus sextile Chiron (in Scorpio/Capricorn)Although this transit lasts for only a few days,
it is possible to make some progress in your healing and rebalancing
efforts, although it will take some effort to make it happen. This may show
itself in relationships, social interaction, finances, values, health or
your spiritual connection to the Universe. You have an increased ability to
negotiate with others and with your circumstances to achieve a fair
compromise that results in equal sacrifice and benefit for all concerned.
However, there is a risk of wanting to avoid conflict and discord so much
that you negotiate beyond what you are truly comfortable withpeace at any
price. By accepting and embracing the effort or struggle that is required,
you can get out of your own way and achieve a more healing balance in those
struggles. You now have increased ability to facilitate changes in
situations that are within your control. It can also be easier to accept and
adapt to that which lies beyond your control. Your effect on others can be
potentially healing right now, especially by helping them find a new balance
and point of acceptance in the conflicts and struggles of their lives.
Oct.07 Mercury square Chiron (in Libra/Capricorn)Your mental focus and perceptions may feel a bit
strained right now. You could find yourself locked in a struggle of
indecision that stems from a "glass-half-empty" versus "half-full" dilemma.
It may be difficult to stay objective and evenly balanced in your
perspective. It might be tempting to tip into extremes of cynicism or angst
to resolve what may seem like a no-win situation. On the other hand, this
transit could bring your mental perspective to a kind of "healing crisis"
that forces you to get a better grip on the ideas, communication and
perceptions that have been problematic. Rather than reaching for extremes
that you hope will clarify the path in front of you, it will help if you can
take a few steps back to allow all the conflicting or out-of-sync elements
to coexist together. If you have been in denial about something, this could
be a turning point that forces you to grapple with the complex reality of
your situation.
Oct.07 Venus in Sagittarius (until Nov.05)Venus focuses her passion on truth-seeking,
philosophical exploration, a lust for knowledge, spiritual intimacy, music
in foreign languages and multicultural social discourse. It is a time to
explore the meaning that your close relationships bring to your life, and
the value that you bring to the Significant Others in your life. It is also
a time when you might seek to increase your income (or your
spendingcareful!) and expand your potential for material wealth and
self-worth. You will likely find that negotiations, interactions and
transactions work best when you apply spiritual values to them and keep the
big picture in mind. You may also find yourself involved with people and
transactions that involve other countries, cultures, languages and travel.
There could be a teaching-learning element in your dealings with people, so
aim for the highest good of all concerned.
Oct.07 Sun trine Neptune (in Libra/Aquarius)Faith in the bountiful blessings of the Universe
is within reach under this transit...but then, so is the fantasy that you
will be granted everything you wish for. Not to dismiss the possibility of
fantasies coming true; but you still have to live within the bounds of
reality. But for now, hope, optimism and imagination spring eternal. Your
creativity can get a transfusion of inspiration. Your sense of self can get
an infusion of vision. And you may be immersed in a sense of mission,
feeling that you are truly a Child of the Universe. Enjoy it while it lasts,
as this transit only lasts a few days.
Oct.08 Mercury in Scorpio (until Oct.30)Cunning communication and insight are a their
peak, as Mercury skulks through Scorpio. Its a time for unearthing secrets
and delving deeply into the psychological Shadow (Carl Jungs term for the
unconscious parts of ourselves that we don't want to or know how to face).
There is opportunity for healing and grounding now, but you may have to
resist the temptation to manipulate others to control that process. Your
awareness of the undercurrents around you could be increased ...or you might
stir up those undercurrents without realising it, by blurting things out in
a blunt or harsh way. This time presents an opportunity to learn new ways to
wield words with the skill of a surgeon - to heal and remove what is toxic,
not to wound or retaliate. Use it wisely.
Oct.13 Mercury trine Uranus (in Scorpio/Pisces)Unusual ideas, flashes of insight, and seeing
unexpected possibilities, are all part of this transit. You may find it
easier to be open-minded right now, especially about insights that have
eluded you. Your ability to see beyond your usual horizon of perception can
bring visionary brainwaves, as well as a fun sense of humour. You might be
inspired to experiment with something new or do something out of character.
You might have an impulse to break free of old habits or constraints. This
can be a very liberating transit that opens your mind to new possibilities
and ideas. However, be careful that you don't become so liberated and
spontaneous that you become erratic, hyper or reckless. Words may come
tumbling out of your mouth before you've had a chance to consider their
wisdom, or you might find yourself talking non-stop and interrupting,
creating a bit of awkwardness in those around you. On the other hand, you
might also find the clarity and vision that gives you the words to speak
your truth with new conviction. It's a great time to do some writing or
other form of self-expression, especially if it's spontaneous or involving
technology.
Oct.14 Venus square Uranus (in Sagittarius/Pisces)Under this transit, you may be tempted by impulse
purchases, or you might be erratic in your use of resources. This can result
in unpredictable or unstable finances, so double check your bank accounts
and credit cards before you draw on them. It is also a time when the way you
relate to others (or they to you) is likely to be somewhat inconsistent,
fickle or impulsive. If your relationships or financial situation has been
struggling with difficulties for a while, this transit could bring a
lingering problem to a head that requires attention. This might be a welcome
breath of fresh air that cuts through the complexity and puts the cards on
the table (despite the stress and conflict that triggers it). Or, you might
feel resistance to making these changes and experience this as a time of
unwelcome instability and upset. However, this may be the only way to break
free of excessive restraint, control or structure, which allows new
possibilities to emerge that couldn't otherwise. This can be a time of
disruption that shakes up your life, or an exciting, wild ride that brings
you new possibilities ...or both!
Oct.15 Mercury square Saturn (in Scorpio/Leo)You might have to work extra hard during this
transit to make your point with people or to think through problems. It is a
good time to be factual, objective and down-to-earth in your communication
and thinking, but it may also lead to feeling constricted, oppressed or
censored by doing so. As a result, it can be tempting to become rigid,
autocratic or over-cautious in an effort to conform to what is expected of
you, which just creates or solidifies the restriction you want to avoid. You
might find yourself in a depressed or glass-half-empty frame of mind, there
might be more to this perception than just feeling down. This might be a
deeper part of you trying to come to terms with some hard realities and
decisions ...but do check to be sure you're not taking yourself or your
situation too seriously. It might be necessary to make some firm decisions
and commit yourself to a certain direction, whereby you stand at a
crossroads and have to choose one path and leave the others behind.
Oct.15 Sun sextile Pluto (in Libra/Sagittarius)Your sense of purpose is potentially strong now,
being able to tap into a deeper level of energy and determination. Your
personality may be more forceful now, which can be great if you need to make
a strong impression but perhaps not so much in situations requiring delicacy
or subtlety. You have increased ability to see below the surface of things,
although it may not be as easy to put it all together and understand what it
all means. It can be possible to unearth secrets or get at the core of
unconscious patterns (yours and others'). However, you'll have to work to
harvest the fruit of these potentials, and some of the insights and benefits
may not become apparent until later.
Oct.16 Jupiter square Chiron (in Libra/Capricorn)Your sense of wisdom, understanding and spiritual
truth may have to face a difficult test under this transit. That test is to
look at and acknowledge the ways in which your wisdom is limited or
inadequatenot because there's something wrong with it, but because there is
only so much in life that can be conquered by optimism, faith and hope.
There are some things in life that must be experienced and cannot simply be
eradicated. When we're in the thick of this, it can feel like our knowledge
and understanding are defective or worthless, even though this is not the
case. By embracing those experiences (rather than beating ourselves up for
not being omnipotent, or overcompensating with arrogance), it is eventually
possible to transcend them. Your wisdom can be expanded and transformed now
by a situation that brings you into contact with this truth. It may be an
uncomfortable, even painful experience, but this brings the potential to
grow spiritually in ways that are not otherwise possible. To get the most
out of this transit, strive to find a way to accept that we are all in a
state of becoming, and that our imperfections do not subtract from our
sacred nature, but merely make it more divinely complex.
Oct.17 Venus trine Saturn (in Sagittarius/Leo)Stability in relationships and finances
characterises this transit. You have increased ability to be disciplined
about spending and to invest the hard work to maximise your earnings. Your
ability to grasp the solid, realistic facts will help you choose wisely in
your investments of both money and interaction with others. Commitment and
structure are easier to achieve and embrace than change or taking risks.
Self-worth can benefit now because you are less inclined to give in to mood
swings. However, if you are prone to depression, you might want to be
careful you don't become so grounded and stable that you lose touch with
your sense of hope and potential. It is a good time to make concrete
progress in matters involving beauty, love, harmony and balance. Keep your
pleasures simple and humble for maximum benefit.
Oct.17, 8:14 AM EDT LUNAR ECLIPSE Full Moon in Aries ("What's a Lunar Eclipse?" "What's a Full Moon?")Best viewed from Australia, eastern Indonesia,
mid-Pacific, and western North America. This Lunar Eclipse brings the issues
that began at the previous Solar Eclipse (April 8, 2005) to full emergence.
What began then was a need to develop a gentle, compassionate, ethical
response to aggression and force, as well as learning to work productively
with natural boundaries. This has evolved into finding empowerment through
inter-dependency with others (rather than co-dependency or defiant
in-dependency). We are also called upon to bring balance to our inner
strength that calls upon higher principles with our primal reactive
impulses. This might feel like you're just conforming for the sake of
results and approval, but the truth is that a certain amount of this is
necessary for a while. However, it doesn't have to be (nor should it be)
either-or. There is great empowerment (inner strength more than outer force)
to be found in sticking to higher/spiritual principles, but also to be
willing to acknowledge the fallibility of those who aspire to but fall short
of those principles. Bringing balance to these seemingly contradictory
perspectives can help you stabilise a somewhat wonky reaction to both. A bit
of stable conformity can actually help you access and make peace with your
aspirations toward higher principles, and is in fact one of your greatest
strengths right now.
Oct.18 Mercury square Neptune (in Scorpio/Aquarius)Your mental focus may be a bit clouded, confused
or lethargic right now, as your conscious mind struggles to grasp the
formless, limitless expanse of the Universe and the unconscious. You may
experience some disillusionment or disappointment, in your observations or
communication with others. However, what is flowing under the surface of
events right now is the need to dissolve away the crust of old expectations
that blocks your view from seeing a greater Truth. If you're feeling
off-balance, try to listen more than you talk, so that you can be receptive
to your inner sensitivity. Left-brain analysis might be difficult to work
with right now unless you balance it with a lot of right-brain intuition.
You may have to let go of a rigid mindset, or give up what you think you
understand about a situation in your life, in order to open yourself to a
new perspective that is difficult to define but is ultimately in the best
interest of your spiritual growth.
Oct.21 Sun square Chiron (in Libra/Capricorn)Your self-confidence may be a bit strained right
now by the urge to break free of chronic constraints. Projects and
self-esteem may seem to sag and suffer from old problems that you thought
were resolved. This is because you are seeing "the flaws in the system"
which are preventing you (or will prevent you) from getting the results you
want. It will help to take a fresh approach to your situation. This means
being willing to let go of what you think the results should look like or
how they should come to you. It may still be possible to get what you want
eventually, but perhaps in a very different form than you're expecting. If
it seems like a door of opportunity has closed, look for a hidden advantage
that allows you to tap into another opportunity that wouldn't have been
possible otherwise.
Oct.21 Venus sextile Neptune (in Sagittarius/Aquarius)Artistry, romance, creativity and faith have the
potential to flow freely now. Your creative Muse is whispering in your ear,
although it will still take your own elbow grease to turn it into something
real. Socially and romantically, things could run smoothly and even a bit
magically, so be sure you are clear in yourself about what you really want.
This can be a time of blessings and abundance (in all areas of life) ...but
there is also the risk of overspending and being overly optimistic in your
assumptions about money and relationships. Your natural beauty and warmth
can be brought out by this transit, but don't just waste it on creating a
faade of outer glamour and charm. Let the essence of your inner beauty and
pure spirit shine through your appearance and mannerisms!
Oct.22 Sun conjunct Jupiter (in Libra)Confidence, optimism, leadership, vision and well
being characterise this transit. Your self-esteem and self-awareness are
wide open. Your sense of being part of something greater than yourself can
be vivid and bright. And your ability to identify and act on opportunities
around you can bring you "lucky" prospects. However, if you have difficulty
embracing a positive sense of self, or if you struggle with how to feel like
a treasured Child of the Universe, these feelings could rise to the surface
during this transit. You might wind up trying to compensate with
over-confidence, arrogance, blind faith, or gambling on what are
realistically poor prospects. The trick is to tap into the spirit of who you
are and to let that shine brightly out to the world, but not so brightly
that you are blinded by your own light. Consult a trusted friend for
feedback or advice if in doubt.
Oct.22 Mercury opposite Mars (in Scorpio/Taurus)Fiery speech, argument, hot debate and impatience
characterise this transit. You may encounter conflicts of interest with
others and want to solve them NOW, but in your haste to find a quick fix,
you could create more problems than you solve. On the other hand, it can be
a time of sudden or impulsive decisions, as well as taking action on ideas
you've been mulling over for a while. There is a strong tendency to say
what's on your mind ...perhaps more abruptly or harshly than is wise, which
could result in argument, overreaction and hurt feelings. Although argument
can clear the air and be healing, it can also wound those involved and
create ill will that lasts far beyond the original problem. This energy is
potentially powerful, yet volatile. It can be used to pump up your
motivational fire ...or to explode in hurtful anger. It is like a race horse
that can achieve great things when carefully paced, but can be dangerous if
allowed to run out of control.
Oct.23 Sun in Scorpio (until Nov.22)Happy Solar Return to all Scorpios! While the Sun
is in Scorpio, we all get to explore our passions and probe the secrets
within our depths. There is an intensity to the Scorpio experience that goes
right to the core, and Scorpio challenges you to take a closer look at how
that intensity manifests in your psyche. What are you passionate about and
what fires up that passion? What events and experiences have brought you to
"rock bottom" and then turned the tide to rejuvenate you back to a new lease
on life? What people, causes, beliefs or physical things are so important to
you that you would even risk death for? What secrets do you harbour inside,
even from yourself? Posing these hypothetical questions doesn't mean you'll
bring on! But can help you tap into the Scorpio experience to understand
better how you experience transformation and touch the deepest heart of life
itself. The danger is in becoming so obsessed with your passion that you
neglect the practical realities. Or, you could become stuck in the "dark
side" of transformation and letting go of the old, that you forget that
figurative death and transformation are meant to lead into rebirth in order
to complete the cycle. During this time, celebrate the endings in your life.
Honour the hard times when you have had to face painful losses. And take
passionate pleasure in the things that pull you out of your routines and
make you feel alive. In some way, they have all allowed you to survive,
thrive and grow.
Oct.25 Jupiter in Scorpio (until Nov.24.2006)The planet of truth seeking, exploration and
expansion mixes energies with the sign of intensity, transformation and the
occult. For about a year, you have access to increased ability to explore
your depths and shine a light into the darkness of the Shadow (the stuff
that we hide in the "basement" because we don't want to or know how to face
it). When we start to look into our Shadow, the issues we see often seem to
become worse rather than better. This is usually because we're seeing those
issues up close and they're more accessible and come to the surface more
easily. But if we keep moving through our exploration of those issues, it
will get better and the dark unknown gradually transforms into illuminated
awareness and understanding. While Jupiter is in Scorpio, your instinct is
to reach for a higher truth about the depths of human nature and who you
are.
Oct.25-Dec.21 Mercury enters the Shadow ("What's the Shadow?")Mercury will be retrograde from Nov.14 to Dec.03 in Scorpio and Sagittarius. Today is the day when Mercury enters the span of the zodiac where it will later be retrograde. From now until Nov.14, it is a good idea to pay careful attention to situations, ideas, issues and circumstances that appear during this time. Either these situations will unfold in a longer time frame than you expect (throughout Mercury retrograde), or the underlying issues and dynamics could repeat in other situations during Mercury retrograde). The closer we get to the Retrograde Station (Nov.14), the more we are likely to feel the approaching Right-Brain state that typically characterises Mercury Retrograde. For more about this, see the new article on Mercury Retrograde. Oct.26 Neptune stationary Direct (in Aquarius) ("What's a station?" Article about stations)For up to a week before and after this date, you
might feel a bit dreamy, disconnected, depressed, sluggish or
scatter-brained, as the prevailing energy takes you into a non-rational,
intuitive place. Vivid dreams could give you insight into situations you are
wrestling with, and intuitive sensitivity might seem to come out of nowhere.
Or you might experience the oppositeyour dreams elude you and you feel cut
off from your usual intuitive sense. What is happening is that your
"right-brain" (intuitive, creative, non-rational) is passing the torch to
your "left-brain" (rational, logical, linear), and you may become caught in
the whirlpool of transition. Try not to control the process, but allow it to
carry you and point you in a different direction. The learning you have
gathered over the last five months or sorelated to spirituality, longing,
inspiration, creativity, imagination, fantasy, divination and intuitioncan
now start to be applied more directly in your life over the next few months.
It may be possible to channel your experience into a creative formpossibly
artistic, but definitely creating something new out of what has been, which
can ultimately be healing and uplifting.
Oct.28 Mercury sextile Chiron (in Scorpio/Capricorn)Your mental focus and communication could get an
injection of healing energy under this transit, as long as you are prepared
to put some effort into getting it. Your spirits can become uplifted now,
from seeing a light at the end of the tunnel or from finding a light that
guides you along the path in front of you. It will not, however, make the
tunnel or the path go away; you'll still have to walk the walk. But your
mental perspective can become more accepting of inconsistencies and
frustrations under this transit, which can alleviate a lot of stress and
make the journey a bit smoother. Mental struggles and critical "self-talk"
may find some reconciliation and acceptance that brings peace of mind. You
have an increased ability to find the right words and understanding to help
others with their problems, by providing insightful feedback. To get the
most out of this transit, aim to find a mental outlook and communication
style that can tolerate contradiction without having to eradicate one in
order to justify the other.
Oct.28 Venus conjunct Pluto (in Sagittarius)Intensity in love and close relationships can
occur under this transit, as well as a compelling need to get more control
over your finances and assets. This could manifest as power dynamics
emerging in your interactions with others, in which you engage in a
negotiation for a better balance of power that is more in your favour. Or,
you might become somewhat obsessed with the pursuit of pleasure and beauty,
possibly trying to compensate for a low sense of self-worth. Or, there can
be a valuable opportunity to develop a deeper connection with those close to
you. You might find it necessary to negotiate with others for financial
support. You may have to dig deeper than usual to extract needed resources
from hidden places (or to deposit them there, out of reach from others who
want a piece of your hoard). Keep your integrity high and dry by being
honest with yourself about the ethics of your actions.
Oct.30 Sun trine Uranus (in Scorpio/Pisces)You are more open than usual to spontaneity,
surprises and "flying by the seat of your pants!" Your sense of humour and
fun are finely tuned during this transit, as is your ability to break out of
old outworn habits. It's a great time to try new things and experiment with
something that's out of character for you. In fact, it may be surprising how
easy it is to break out of your usual routine...so much so that it's good to
be careful not to be too reckless under this transit. Just have fun pushing
the envelope!
Oct.30 Mercury in Sagittarius (until Nov.26)Communication, ideas, thoughts and perceptual
"spark" become expanded in Sagittarius. Your mental focus tends toward a
philosophical, spiritual outlook that seeks the highest truth in the
broadest context. However, it's not always easy for the conscious mind to
assimilate and digest such a vast territory of knowledge. You might feel a
bit overwhelmed by trying to take in such a panoramic view of life, but the
gifts from doing so are abundant and inspiring! To get the most out of this
transit, try learning something new that expands your horizon. Or pick a
situation in your life and imagine that you're looking at it from a
mountaintopwhat do you see from way up there that you can't see when you're
closer to the ground? Just remember that whatever visions and insights you
get from doing this, these are SOME of the truths to be found, but not
necessarily the only ones. Leave room in your new understanding to realise
that every mountaintop shows a different view.
