NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 6th House of work and
servicepaid or volunteerhealth and healing, analysis and organisation, and
your contribution to the world.)
You'll likely be concentrating on health, work and
service during this cycle. Much of your attention may be focused on
empowerment issuesor the struggle to attain it. One possible theme is "the
tyranny of health or work." In other words, efforts in these areas may feel
like you are battling a tyrant who is demanding and exacting in what is
required of you, although perhaps not always clear about what that is. Or,
you might feel like you're getting bogged down in details and your progress
in your efforts are slower than you would like.
However, "fighting the good fight" can also bring
rewards of increased strength, a higher quality of achievement, and the
manifestation of opportunities that would otherwise have slipped away. Your
biggest challenge may be the frustration of having to spend time on details
and perfecting what you're doing, instead of sprinting quickly through to
your goal. But this extra effort will pay off, and by the Full Moon you will
start to feel some liberation and release.
Your creativity or sense of self might feel a bit
confused or weighed down for a while, which is probably your struggle with
responsibility and discipline pulling against your ideals and imagination.
The latter might be a bit too far out of reach to easily put them to
practical use. Relationships or finances may get caught in the gravity of
this dynamic. It may help to step back and see things from the bigger
picture, as well as the undercurrents of feelings and desires that may be
motivating the direction of your interactions or spending patterns.

LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 12th house of spirituality, compassion,
isolation, inner focus, meditation, escapism, addiction, and universal love
and beauty.)
This Lunar Eclipse can be a time of spiritual breakthrough for you,
Aries! "Spiritual" in the sense of feeling yourself to be a part of
something greater than yourself, or stretching yourself beyond your
conscious awareness or your ego-based identity. In fact, you may find that
new insight, ideas and liberation could come to you in such a strange,
explosive or extreme way that you're a bit overwhelmed by it all.
You can keep yourself well-grounded by attending to the little thingsto
details, routines, work and health. You can bring stability to these changes
by not disrupting your daily routines more than you really have to. Your
journey will be more sure-footed if you take small, calculated steps,
although it might be tempting to take giant leaps of faithwhich isn't
necessarily a bad thing, but is more likely to bring erratic or
unpredictable results.
You are finishing a long-term process that began about 6 months ago
toward the goal of empowering yourself through new awareness. This awareness
is now breaking open your mind like an egg, filling you with new
possibilities. You are called upon to start applying this awareness,
learning and healing; to translate it all into concrete form. In other
words: walk the walk. This will require that you "step" lightly and
carefully for a while, but any worthy goal requires a focused, deliberate
effort that often takes more energy than you think it will. One careful step
at a time.

TAURUS
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 5th House of identity,
individuality, selfhood, children, fun, love affairs, creative
self-expression and "joi de vivre.")
There is great creative potential for you in this cycle.
Although your creativity wants to soar, you must also get past obstacles or
inhibition, or perhaps just spend time doing the work that needs to be done.
Whatever your hard work involves, it can pay off with patience and
persistence. However, some of that work may also involve facing and dealing
with fantasies, illusions or ideals that are a little too "out there" to
easily fit into the practical structures that are available. For example,
you might want to renovate your home but your vision of what you want to do
with it doesn't quite fit into your budget.
Finances and relationships may get caught in the net of
this struggle. It's even possible that by resolving problems that arise in
close relationships, you can find creative solutions to your goal of
manifesting a vision that may seem a bit out of reach. Whatever your goal,
it is likely by taking care of problems first "in your own back yard" that
you will clear the way to manifest something greater in your life. For
example, you might want to change your career direction but must first deal
with unfinished business in your current job or save up money to sustain you
through the transition.
Your progress isn't likely to go in a straight line, and
you may find that "the rules" have changed. Take it one step at a time and
be open to learning something new from the experience.

TAURUS
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 11th House of friends, peers, colleagues and
co-workers, groups, organisations, community at large and vision of the
future.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings you into contact with friends, associates,
community and possibly all of humanity, Taurus. There is an urge to reach
out to connect with something greater than yourself. This "something" could
be a heightened spiritual awareness (in the sense of stretching beyond your
usual conscious awareness and identity). Or, it might mean involvement with
other people that takes you beyond your individuality, to become one of many
parts that make up a greater whole.
There is work to be done now, and this requires your personal input and
creativity. This might mean giving service to others in some way, or it
might involve action for your own projects and purposes. Either way, it is
you who must steer, direct and move that work forward, more-so than others.
The greater whole (whether that is friends, community or the Universe) might
well inspire your direction or shake you up to force you to make changes,
but it is your personal input that will drive those changes.
It might feel a bit like your creative or financial flow is a bit
uncooperative at first. This is likely due to having to attend to so many
practical details that you wonder what happened to your original vision. But
doing this is necessary to achieve your goals. Use this time to gather
resources, organise your plan of action and renew your sense of purpose,
especially about projects and new beginnings that have emerged in the last 6
months.

GEMINI
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 4th House of family, Father
(or Mother), childhood, home base, need for nurturing, security and
belonging, and the past.)
Home, family and your support system may be a focus
during this cycle, or possibly dealing with the past that is affecting
present circumstances. There is the potential for a new beginning in these
areas, although you may not be able to bring it about with much consistency
or predictability. Relationships in your family-of-origin or in your adult
"chosen family" can benefit from communication and exchange of ideas now.
Although this might lead to argument or disagreement, this may be necessary
to clear the air or to clarify and strengthen your position.
There is a spiritual component to events in your life
now, in the sense that you are challenged to discover a higher meaning
within your interactions and perceptions. You may struggle between the
vision you want to manifest and the reality that is both elusive and in the
way. It will take time to resolve this, and the journey is likely to take
you in unanticipated directions.
Your job or career could well be affected now. There are
opportunities that can advance your goals, but it may not conform precisely
to the vision you have in mind. It may feel like your creativity becomes a
bit blocked, inhibited or delayed for a while. This reflects a challenge you
will be sorting out over the next couple of months, in which you learn a new
way to balance visionary ideals with practical considerations, without
sabotaging your efforts in the name of perfectionism or purism.

GEMINI
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 10th House of career, goals, ambitions,
authority, public recognition, Mother (or Father), social reputation and
roles in society.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings unexpected possibilities and perhaps some
creative chaos in your career, goals and direction in life, Gemini. You are
likely full of creative inspiration right now, with a very strong practical
sense of how to make it happen.
There is plenty of opportunity to manifest this in the form of work,
service and details that speak to a greater vision. But there is also some
conflict and stress between these and the vision you are trying to reach
for. It might feel like you are being held back, while your lofty vision
slips away. Or you might feel that by honouring your responsibilities, your
greater potential is being left behind.
This energy has its roots going back around 6 months ago, when you were
starting to wrestle with how to bring consistency and integrity to your
actions, aspirations and ideals. For the next 6 months, you are busy
manifesting and integrating the organisation and structure you have brought
into your lifeespecially in the areas of career and goals. As before, it
will work best if you "clean up your own backyard" first, since a firm and
organised foundation will help to stabilize what you are manifesting out in
the world. And as much as it sometimes seems like you're heading in the
wrong direction, your current path can bring you gifts and benefits that you
couldn't get without the struggle you're in now. One step at a time.

CANCER
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 3rd House of intellect,
communication, ideas, perceptions, learning, neighbours, commerce,
short-distance travel, and information exchange.)
Your perceptions, awareness and communication are the
focus of this cycle. You are learning how your perceptions about a situation
can affect the conclusions you form about it and how you react as a result.
On one hand your intention may be to be helpful, useful and accurate, but on
the other hand there may be deeper emotional issues that get triggered and
interfere with your ability to give a more rational or grounded response to
the situation.
This is a time to let go of some of those interfering
dynamics by converting automatic reactions into self-awareness. Your
impulses can also be transformed into service-oriented action that helps
both you and others. This could be more difficult than it appears, since you
may have to face the deeper reasons why you have not done things this way in
the past. It will help to remember that your ideas and perceptions likely
have a lot of truth to them. Your challenge is to defend that truth without
becoming triggered into nuking the opposition in the process.
The whole issue of this empowerment is a longer-term
process of learning that is just beginning now. You may have to deal with a
secret fear that you don't have much to give, which drains your confidence
when you have to defend what feels like an illusion of personal substance
(your gifts). However, you are on a journey of learning to acknowledge and
value what you have to offer. As with anything new, this may initially come
about in spurts and starts, but patience and persistence will help to see
you through this time of awkward beginnings.

CANCER
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 9th House of spirituality, beliefs,
truth-seeking, justice, philosophy, knowledge, teaching/learning,
publishing, long-distance travel, foreign lands and languages, and
multiculturalism.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings inspiration and a little creative chaos to your
spiritual direction, Cancer. "Spiritual" can mean your religious beliefs or
even just a philosophy of living that supports your efforts to reach your
highest potential. You may be feeling the need to liberate yourself from
past beliefs, judgments or biases. Your knowledge and intuition may lead you
in an unusual direction, or perhaps just breaking away from your usual
routine. All of this has its roots in changes that began about 6 months ago.
However, your usual routine or ways of seeing things cannot simply be
cast aside in favour of a new approach. To do so would throw away an
important stabilizing factor in a situation that has a lot of change
happening. Your thoughts, speech and ideas need to remain practical,
adaptable and attentive to details. This will help to balance you between
the microcosm and macrocosm (the little and big pictures), and there is a
strong pull in both of these directions right now.
Your creative vision and understanding about who you are in the midst of
such a vast context can be a pivot point around which to find balance. It
may seem like you are short on resources or that your vision of "a perfect
world" will never be attainable. There may be some truth in both, but by
wrestling with these issues, you can find a new depth of understanding that
will help you find balance between the ideal and the practical. This will
develop over the next 6 months.

LEO
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 2nd House of finances,
income, expenses, possessions, resources, self-worth, and material security
and values.)
There are new beginnings possible now in the areas of
finances, assets and personal worth, although it will likely require a lot
of hard work to reach your goal. You might have recently been through a time
of realising that you have your work cut out for you in order to reach your
goals, which might have also produced some discouragement or obstacles.
Now you are likely faced with finding the resources you
need to make those goals happen. This may be literally in terms of getting
the money needed to make your financial base stronger. Or it could involve
getting the support and connection you need from others in order to have the
self-confidence to move forward. Your efforts might proceed in fits and
starts initially, especially if discouragement leads to inconsistent action.
It may help to approach this as a long-term process
(which it is) and not expect immediate results. As with any project of
growth, it is often the obstacles that loom large in the beginning. It may
be tempting to see others (like loved ones or support people) as having what
you can't seem to get, or to feel disillusioned when they turn out to be
human (and therefore imperfect) after all. Look to the past (even as far
back as childhood) for clues about hidden assumptions, ideals or biases that
might need some adjustment in order to allow you to see your situation more
clearly.

LEO
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 8th House of power, empowerment, control,
intensity, deep psychology, transformation, death/rebirth, the occult,
secrets and resources from other people.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings the potential to break out of an old rut and
find new faith in yourself and in your ability to follow your dreams, Leo.
To do that, you need to "think outside the box" or rather, to "feel and
dream" outside the box in order find your spiritual power. By that I mean
finding a higher purpose to guide your quest to empower yourself. To allow
yourself to be led by a humanitarian vision of equality, and not simply a
primal urge for self-protection.
This new vision of empowerment has roots that go back about 6 months,
when you began a quest to find a new level of integrity, inspiration and
personal standards. Now you are challenged to take what you've achieved in
these areas and apply it in both practical and spiritual ways. Start by
finding some self-esteem that strives for self-betterment without becoming
fragmented by being too hard on yourself.
Your self-confidence and sense of potential may be both a resource and a
hindrance now. On one hand, you may be haunted by memories of judgment,
blame or guilt from the past, perhaps stirred up by interactions with people
in your present life. On the other hand, you are now in a position to let go
of some of your old emotional baggage, which can liberate you and bring
healing to your self-image. This will unfold over the next 6 months.

VIRGO
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 1st House of self, outer
personality, appearance, vitality and self-assertion.)
This is your New Moon, Virgo, since it takes place in
your sign. This is a time of especially powerful new beginnings that can
pull a new sense of self up from your spiritual depths. The potential for
transformation is strong now, which means you will be working hard toward
self-improvement on more than one level. In fact, much of this work is
likely to be happening below the surface, behind the scenes or in private.
You may have to fight to keep past assumptions, beliefs
or obsessions from dominating over your here-and-now experience. Those
hidden assumptions may be more deeply rooted than you realise, and it may
help to take some time out to check in with yourself to find out what's
really going on inside you. This is especially true if you find your
automatic reactions becoming a bit out of control or out of proportion to
the situation.
You are reaching the manifestation stage of a long-term
process that you have been building up to for many months (perhaps even
years). This involves finding ways to bring your ideals, beliefs and higher
motives into your day-to-day living and into your work (whatever you do with
your time that contributes to the world around you, with or without pay).
Your knowledge and your ability to articulate it may come under fire over
the next couple of months, possibly putting some dents in your
self-confidence. But the purpose of this is to challenge you to reconsider
and reshape your understanding of those goals, not to discourage you from
pursuing them.

VIRGO
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 7th House of "Significant Others,"
relationships, partnerships, inter-connectedness with others, style of
interaction, and balance.)
This Lunar Eclipse projects a lot of lunatic wisdom and magical energy
into your relationships and interactions with others, Virgo. But there is
also a lot of focus on you, and how to make sense of the priorities and
ideals that are fluctuating between you and others. You have a lot of
strength right now to analyze, organize and bring healing to your sense of
Self and how you interact with others. This likely applies to your current
(or past) close relationships, but it could also apply to your approach to
relating in general and reassessing what you really want from relationships.
Your experience of others may be less organised, less practical and/or
less rational than you would like. It might be easy to assume that this is
somehow a bad reflection on you. But over the last 6 months you've been
challenged to develop self-acceptance and a deeper understanding of human
nature. This is a resource you can draw on now to gain a healthy sense of
detachment. It will help to use your analytical and critical skills to do a
compassionate reality check, which can help you make sense of the deeper
dynamics without making the situation worse.
There is a risk of falling into a battle of perfectionism now, and
compassion can help to balance this out. It can be tempting to compare your
ideals of what "should" be possible against what you've actually managed to
achieve, which might seem to pale in comparison to the shining ideal.
Remember that ideals always tend to lose a lot when translated into reality;
we can only do what we can do. If you feel you "should" have done better,
use it to create a realistic strategy for future consideration. In the
meantime, err on the side of compassion and optimism, both in your
self-assessment and your view of others.

LIBRA
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 12th house of spirituality,
compassion, solitude, privacy, alone time, inner focus, meditation,
escapism, addiction, and universal love and beauty.)
There is much developing behind the scenes for you
during this cycle, and as a result there may be a lot more to events and
situations than meets the eye. In particular, your involvement with friends,
peers, community or all of Humanity are likely to be affected. Doors that
were previously open in these areas might seem to be closing now, or you
might be very aware of differences that make you feel lonely or isolated.
Whether this is a temporary or permanent development,
the purpose of this long-term process is to challenge you to discover a
higher calling or aspiration within yourself. And this is a time of powerful
new beginnings that will likely start in some secluded corner away from the
busy world. Therefore, you might be more likely to initially notice a drop
in social connection or disillusionment about where you thought you were
heading in life. Or, you might find you are working hard to make those
connections happen and being rewarded accordingly.
Trying to express what you're experiencing or feeling
right now might not be easy, and you might find more success in non-verbal
forms of expression. For example, dance or exercise or passion (but avoid
violence, hostility or blame). Awareness of what is forming may be sporadic
or appear through strange dreams. Resources (money, assets, talent or belief
in yourself) may be available but be careful not to spend them unwisely,
which may be tempting as a way of balancing hardship with pleasure.

LIBRA
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 6th House of work and service, paid or
volunteer, health and healing, analysis and organisation, and your
contribution to the world.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings the potential for healing on many levels,
Virgo. To manifest this, you may have to build a bridge of paradox between
organisation and chaos between structured service performed in the name of
a higher purpose versus spontaneous "random acts of kindness." Regardless of
whether you do it by formula or by impulse, in the sacred stillness of your
soul or in the mundane craziness of your job, it is by acting from a sense
of dedication to a higher purpose that you can gain healing for yourself.
However, there is also a risk of becoming stuck in perfectionism. If you
feel that others see you as not measuring up, or if you feel your actions
aren't enough, it might be easy to believe that you must amass more and more
resources, skills, insight or control. This could become a vicious circle,
where the more you try to perfect your efforts, the more you may come across
as trying too hard and thus lose credibility which defeats your whole
purpose.
Although results are important to you, you're more likely to get the
results you want if you let go and let things flow at their own pace even
though things might seem somewhat sporadic, unpredictable or difficult to
get a clear handle on. There may be a lot of details that need to be
attended to (which could interrupt that "flow"), but if you try to force
your life to be consistent, you may only disrupt the natural rhythm which
WILL eventually stabilize and flow more smoothly. This will unfold over the
next 6 months, so don't feel you have to do it all at once. One step at a
time.

SCORPIO
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 11th House of friends,
peers, colleagues, associates, co-workers, groups, organisations, community
at large, and vision and hopes for the future.)
There are new beginnings forming for you now. So, it is
important that you clarify your intentions about your future. As these new
beginnings take form, your connection with friends, associates, peers,
groups, organisations and community may be a source of both motivation and
frustrating confrontation. You may be experiencing echoes from the past
coming back to haunt you in ways that are difficult to put your finger on.
It is therefore time to let go of some of those past
dynamics. It's time to release outworn motives (why you react in certain
ways) that served a useful purpose in the past, but now are just distracting
you from where you want to go. Doing so will strengthen your efforts to
manifest something of your own making in your life and in the world. Start
by gathering ideas that have concrete value (not just fantasies or wishes).
Then use discipline and structure to budget the resources you need to make
it all happen. You may feel torn between going ahead and spending your
resources to invest in yourself (money, talent, knowledge, assets, etc.)
versus holding back and waiting until your situation seems more stable.
There is a risk of over-indulgence now, so it may be wise to do some careful
research before you act.
There is a deeper purpose behind this struggle. You are
developing your capacity to assess and understand the ideals you hold dear
(subjective), as well as the standards by which you measure yourself
(objective). Both are valid and important, but need to be brought into
balance through your own wisdom, knowledge and philosophical perspective.
This is a long-term process, so give yourself time to allow it all to
develop.

SCORPIO
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 5th House of identity, individuality,
selfhood, children, fun, love affairs, creative self-expression and joi de
vivre.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings opportunities for powerful creative expression
and a shift in the relationship between yourself and "the Collective,"
Scorpio. On one hand, you are enjoying a burst of creative freedom, a
release of spiritual healing energy and/or an abundance of spontaneous
nurturing instinct. This might feel a bit overwhelming or chaotic, but there
is also a lot of validation and liberation that can come from this.
On the other hand, you are also examining your relationship to others
friends, associates, allies, enemies, groups, community and humanity at
large. You may be evaluating what is working for you, what needs adjustment
and how to choose and engage the right people to help you get where you want
to go. Looking at this from the big picture will help, but it may also be
difficult to know how specifically to act from that broader perspective too.
Somehow you need to find a bridge between letting go of your control over
the specific results and still doing what must be done to ensure that the
specifics are dealt with effectively.
This comes from the evolution of projects and aspirations that began
about 6 months ago. Your job now is to begin to establish and maintain a
balance between your own path and the interests of others, between personal
creativity and practical application that is useful to others, and between
your unconscious agendas and your conscious intention. This will evolve over
the next 6 months. Start by letting your creative genius loose! Also, take
inventory of the people and groups in your life and the assistance or
support that each can offer you. Then develop a strategy to connect your
dreams to those who can help you realise them.

SAGITTARIUS
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 10th House of career, goals,
ambitions, authority, public recognition, Mother (or Father), social
reputation and roles in society.)
There is great potential now for a new beginning and
manifestation of your goals, dreams and vision. This may require that you
fight for or defend what you want. This might arise through conflict with
others (especially authority figures) or by battling a hidden belief in your
own powerlessness. Either way, it will probably be necessary for you to
muster courage and strength to push forward in the direction you want to go.
This could manifest in the areas of career or your
relationship with a parent or defending your reputation. There is more here
than meets the eye, however, and there may be a lot going on behind the
scenes and under the surface. Your strong point now is an ability to break
free of past ways of doing things and start anew. But this also brings you
face to face with the hard work necessary to bring that new beginning into
being, and that might look like little more than self-denial and restriction
of pleasure. And there may be some truth in that you might need to resist
the urge to self-indulge for a while in order to achieve your aims.
However, there is a higher purpose involved which gives
meaning to that discipline and restraint. This is a long-term process. It
will probably help to take some time out on a regular basis, to give
yourself some "alone time" and to recharge your batteries and remind
yourself what you're doing it all for. Meditation, dream work and staying
focused on the practical steps necessary to get from "here" to "there" can
help to keep you on track. You'll get there in spurts and jumps, but you'll
get there.

SAGITTARIUS
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 4th House of family, Father (or Mother),
childhood, home base, need for nurturing, security and belonging, and the
past.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings dramatic change and a powerful shift in the
source of your inspiration, Sagittarius. Whether this applies to your home
life, or your relationship with a parent or family member, or your sense of
spiritual Source, or all of the above this can begin a time when old
blocks, insecurities and confusion move aside to allow a fresh flow of
energy.
This in turn affects your career, goals, ambitions and how you make your
mark in the world. These areas are now easier to work with and get results
from. Yet, you may also feel the need to increase the level of detail,
perfection, effectiveness or fine-tuning. If this is not well-balanced with
a sense of faith and trust that the Universe will support your efforts, you
could get stuck in compulsive obsession where you believe you must
micro-manage everything by yourself. Although it's possible you may need to
break free of some unhealthy dependence on others, it is also important to
be open to the ways that Significant Others and the Universe can and do
support you.
This will gradually develop over the next 6 months, as it will take time
to adapt and integrate the shift that is happening now. So don't feel you
have to make it all happen right away. If you're thinking, "Shift? What
shift?" it's possible that these changes are happening below your conscious
awareness, and you won't see clear evidence for a few month months. The
changes may be subtle and take time to detect. One step at a time.

CAPRICORN
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 9th House of spirituality,
beliefs, truth-seeking, justice, philosophy, knowledge, teaching/learning,
publishing, long-distance travel, foreign lands and languages, and
multiculturalism.)
This is a time to seek a higher truth in your life. You
have a chance to make a new beginning now, especially in the areas of
spiritual healing, self-empowerment and financial stability. This is a
long-term process and is likely to start unevenly or unpredictably. The aim
of this process is to discover a truth and knowledge that incorporate a
broader context to understand your life. However, you are also challenged to
formulate a new definition of success to measure your progress, which is
both more precise and more meaningful.
You might find yourself reacting to every little thing
that challenges you, perhaps trying to simply do somethinganything!to keep
yourself from feeling stuck or blocked. This may be motivated by a secret or
unconscious fear of judgment or powerlessness, which may in turn be fuelled
by a difficulty dealing with anything that is indistinct or unstructured.
There are likely many layers here.
Your first job is to examine your values concrete,
psychological, spiritual, ethical and idealistic. Those values help to
define your perceptions and standards, and therefore the results of your
efforts. Concrete values are linked to higher principles, and it is these
principles that will be challenged in the coming months. The purpose of this
is to find ways to become more consistent and integrated between your
spiritual principles, the standards by which you assess your success, and
how you integrate these into your self-empowerment.

CAPRICORN
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 3rd House of intellect, communication, ideas,
perceptions, learning, neighbours, commerce, short-distance travel, and
information exchange.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings new ideas, awareness, insight and inspiration,
Capricorn. In fact, these may come to you in unexpected or unconventional
ways, perhaps even making you feel a bit overwhelmed, dishevelled insecure
or confused. But you are likely being opened up to some very new
perspectives that may not fit easily into your established way of
understanding or doing things. It will take some time to integrate these new
ideas, which will unfold over the next 6 months.
Your reaction may be to try to dig in deeper to categorize, organise and
formalize those ideas and insights. This can be very useful and effective,
since it can help you integrate the complexity and multiple layers of
information you're getting. However, remember that there can be a vast
difference between the inspiration that gives birth to an idea versus the
manifestation of that idea in practical form. This is not a personal fault
to be corrected, but a natural function of the way the Universe works.
There may be a tendency to push yourself into perfectionism and to judge
yourself (or others) by harsh or impossible standards. It will help to avoid
getting locked into absolutes, which will inevitably stop your flow of ideas
and understanding due to over-analysis. Instead, it will help to cultivate
appreciation for relative truths and acceptance of the inherent mysteries in
life, which can leave room for "ah-ha!" experiences to emerge.

AQUARIUS
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 8th House of power,
empowerment, control, intensity, deep psychology, death, rebirth,
transformation and sexuality.)
There is great potential for a new beginning now that
reaches deep below the surface of the conscious mind. Your awareness of this
may come to you in flashes of insight, or possibly in dreams or daydreams.
Feedback, communication or interaction with others might also bring new
awareness and ideas about changes that are now possible (or even
inevitable).
You are embarking on a long-term journey to rebalance
your highest personal potential with your responsibilities and commitments
toward other people. You may find that when you focus on one, the other can
easily disappear or become problematic. In order to balance them out, it
will be necessary to redefine your depth of understanding and your breadth
of vision. In manifesting your goals and dreams, you will need to establish
(what may feel like) restrictive discipline that is necessary to stay on
track. You will also have to risk disappointment if your dream doesn't look
the same when you bring it into form.
There is likely some truth in all of these perspectives
positive and negative, freeing and restricting, inspiring and
disappointing. In order to keep these opposites in balance, it will help to
re-define your values (this is how you will assess your achievements) and
your resources (the concrete and inspirational fuel that will keep you
going). You can stack the deck in your favour by keeping your goals within
the realm of what is within your control (not dependent on someone else's
opinion or standards).

LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 2nd House of finances, income, expenses,
possessions, resources, self-worth, and material security and values.)
This Lunar Eclipse brings new resources into your life, Aquarius which
may appear in many different shapes and forms. This could be unexpected
money, or it might be a wealth of insight, or it may be an abundance of
liberating trust in the Universe to support you. You may experience a
breakthrough of having faith in yourself and your abilities, talents and
skills. This is an outgrowth of the development you've been doing over the
past 6 months in cultivating your creative communication and
self-expression.
You may be feeling encouraged (or forced) to channel your resources into
service to others. Or, you might have to put your gifts to work in
practical, specific ways that benefit others, which you may not be entirely
comfortable with. On one hand, your contribution may fit well with your
dreams and goals of what you aspire to. But there are still issues to work
out regarding how you relate to others specifically, how to balance your
shining ideals with the practical realities in your connection with others.
Right now you may be feeling conflict between the ways that your dreams,
ambitions and goals are useful versus the ways that they may be hindering
your achievement of something concrete in your life.
It may help to remember that this is a long-term process that will
continue to unfold over the next 6 months. There is a shift happening now in
the areas of finances, resources, receptivity and spiritual blessings. It
will take time to integrate this energy into your goals and understanding.
One step at a time even if those steps are not measured, consistent ones!

PISCES
NEW MOON in VIRGO
August 23 to September 22, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 7th House of love, balance,
harmony, close relationships, marriage, partnership, inter-connectedness
with others, style of interaction, lovers and adversaries.)
There is potential for a powerful new beginning in the
area of relationships, although it will probably happen sporadically,
unpredictably or awkwardly at first. This might be a new intimate
relationship. Or, a rejuvenation or healing of an existing close
relationship. Or, you might decide it's time to end a failing relationship
and start a new life. Or, possibly you'll take a new approach to how you
interact with others in general. Or, perhaps you are changing the priority
that relationships take in your life. Whatever form it takes, there is hard
yet rewarding work ahead.
Health or work issues may be involved in this somehow.
It might be necessary to take steps to stabilize one or both in order to
avoid problems that could arise out of inconsistency or imbalance. On the
other hand, too much stability or predictability can be stifling and create
more problems. Part of the answer lies in learning how to take a detached,
philosophical view without also detaching from your common sense.
That philosophical view is important though, since it is
the bridge between the ideals, fantasies and imagination that guide you and
the practical details, ideas and values that may leave little room for
anything that isn't results-oriented. By stretching your perspective,
knowledge and sense of meaning to include more of these things, you can
start to bridge the gap between practical rules and far-reaching ideals.
Either one can potentially strengthen or obliterate your sense of self,
depending if it's used in balance or one used to overpower the other.

PISCES
LUNAR ECLIPSE
FULL MOON in PISCES
September 7, 2006
(Takes place in your solar 1st House of self, outer personality,
appearance, vitality and self-assertion.)
This is your Lunar Eclipse, Pisces, since it takes place in your sign! It
brings a major shift in how you experience yourself, as well as how you
project and express yourself in your interactions with others. This may
emerge as a spontaneous, exuberant or uncharacteristic eruption of feelings
or creativity. You may suddenly feel an outpouring of empathy, compassion
and sensitivity about others (perhaps someone very close to you). Or you
might decide that this is the right time to rebel against perfectionism or
even to rebel through perfectionism.
Your relationships and interactions with others may be a mixed bag of
agendas. You have a lot to give right now, and you may feel the need (or the
obligation) to "be there for" someone. Or you might feel some insecurity or
disorientation, yourself, and need someone else to step in and help pull you
back together. Just be careful you don't let yourself be manipulated or used
in a way that leaves you feeling burned out, isolated or vulnerable or
that you don't unintentionally do that to someone else.
You are in the process of exploring ethics, philosophy and meaning in
your life, and you are likely wrestling with difficult questions about how
much to give of yourself or whether your contribution is everything that it
could or "should" be. On the other hand, wrestling with this can help you
keep a healthy and healing balance in your interactions with others. It will
help to broaden your view of the interpersonal dynamics between yourself and
others. In other words, expand your understanding so that your interests and
those of others aren't mutually exclusive, but can be seen together as two
sides of the same coin. This process will unfold over the next 6 months.
