Lunar Forecast for the
NEW MOON in ARIES
This Forecast in effect
April 14 to 28, 2010
The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.
For several months you've been dealing with a lot of back and forth, on and
off, spinning your wheels in the mud, or having to do extensive preparation
before you could finally get moving with something. Well, the current has finally
shifted. The energy, and you, have gradually been getting refocused. The New
Moon in Aries on Apr.14 opens the gates. All that preparation is poised to break
out and move you toward your goal. The vision of what is possible now can be
seen shimmering in the dawn just above the horizon, if you look closely. The
potential for healing, resolution, abundance and redemption is hovering in the
glow. Your energy and motivation have been pretty stable for several weeks now,
so you're good to go. Right?
Well, a qualified Yes. The world IS your oyster, but you may have to work
harder than you think to pry it open and retrieve the pearl that lies within.
It's possible you might have to first rethink your methods or reorganize your
resources. Your temper or frustration level could be running on a short fuse,
so give yourself lots of space to have your feelings without taking them out
on others. You might find your energy and optimism are a bit sluggish for a
little while, so aim to work smarter and more efficiently, not harder and faster.
Planning ahead is an excellent strategy, so do draw on resources and people
to help you stay grounded if things feel a bit chaotic or scattered. Doing so
will definitely help you be more prepared – and therefore more effective – than
if you didn't.
This is a good time to give yourself and others a bit more compassion and
mercy, especially in problem situations that don't seem to have a clear solution.
The Serenity Prayer is a powerful resource now: to accept the things you can't
change, to change what you can, and to be willing to acknowledge which is which.
That doesn't mean don't work at finding a solution, but it will be much more
helpful and effective if you don't waste a lot of time, energy and emotion by
insisting that a situation or person must change to suit you if that's simply
not going to happen. Strive for practical wisdom – even if you can't change
the problem, you can still change how your relationship to it and how you respond
to it. This can free up enormous creative energy that can point you to unexpected
possibilities that had been too obscured by emotional turbulence to see.

Lunar Forecast for the
FULL MOON in SCORPIO
This Forecast in effect
April 28 to May 13, 2010
The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.
Obsidian is black glass that forms naturally from cooled volcanic lava that
bubbles up from deep in the earth. It can be polished to a smooth finish and
used as a form of divination. A regular mirror shows you the surface appearance
of things, but when you gaze into an obsidian mirror it is possible to see the
deeper truth below the surface. Now is a time when you may be able to see deep
into your own unconscious, and possibly into other people's as well. Like the
lava that flows far underground, you may find you are picking up the undercurrents
of situations around you, more than mere descriptive information.
This deeper information carries with it a great responsibility! Being able
to perceive the deeper truth of a situation means you have a greater ability
to heal and resolve its problems. You have an opportunity to reach past the
usual resistance, defences and mental blocks to deal with troubles either before
they happen or that are long over due for attention. The trick is not to go
overboard in how to deal with the situation – like a surgeon, it's best to go
in, remove what needs to be let go and rearrange what needs to be adjusted,
and then get out of there and let it heal.
On the other hand, this also gives you the power to potentially do damage
– to yourself or someone else. It's very important to come from a place of your
highest integrity, so that you want the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
If you're acting out of anger, malice or resentment, it's best to wait until
you're in a better space and/or be willing to be upfront and honest about your
frame of mind. This is not a good time to try to win at all costs or to vent
your emotions on someone else, even if you believe you are fully justified in
doing so. It is a great time, however, to be brutally honest with yourself and
gently honest with others about the personal truth within yourself, as well
as the deeper truth you see in what's going on around you. It can help to reach
out to someone who "knows the territory" – someone who can provide
support, feedback and guidance, and who can help you connect to your "spiritual
fire" while avoiding burnout.
