The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

Although the start of this lunar cycle (July 8th) may feel a bit sluggish or soggy, it will start to clear up gradually over the next couple of weeks. If you're not feeling that way, you might feel the urgent pressure to put plans into action—soon!—or to choose a direction and start planning. To help this along, it may help to keep an open mind about possible solutions, resources and motivation. You might find there is an obstacle or challenge that must be conquered before you can get the process under way. Don't let this get you down or get the better of you. You have more insight, brilliance and wisdom than you may realize to move yourself past the obstacles and down the road toward your destination.

If you get stuck, keep in mind that an irony may be playing out. The very nature of the problem may hold a hidden insight to the solution. As an example, when you're feeling insecure and vulnerable it can often seem like you're trapped inside your shell, trying to protect yourself. Whatever is "out there" perhaps feels threatening or intimidating. It's easy to assume the worst, and yet by looking squarely at some of the least desirable outcomes, you can prepare yourself if they should happen. Facing what scares you means becoming the kind of nurturing parent you wish you had (or did have and now miss). It means allowing your Inner Grownup to come out and take charge, while still holding the hand of your Inner Child.

This time begins a year of exploring ways to take good care of yourself, as well as others. It involves looking for ways to say "yes" to what you need, while also having good judgment about things you need to say "no" to that are in your best interest. This can be a time when you may want to reach out and take care of the world, or even just your corner of it. Or you might feel inspired to expand your understanding and knowledge of past experiences and how these have shaped who you are (for better or worse). In order to learn something new, it is often necessary to un-learn what you thought you knew about it. Therefore, take the next couple of weeks to rethink, rehash and reflect on what comes up in your life. Is there a different way to see the situation? The exploration you do now will initiate a journey that will give you a whole new perspective by this time next year.

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

Over the next few months, you are entering a kind of labyrinth. This is not the same as a maze, where there is only one correct route and all other paths lead to a dead end. In a labyrinth there is only one path, but unlike the maze there are no misleading options or dead branches. Rather, the labyrinth is a symbol for the journey to enlightenment. You start at the outside and work your way in toward the centre. When it seems like the goal is within sight, the path suddenly turns and takes you farther away. Back and forth, in and out. You think you'll never get there. Have I been gullible and tricked into something that's a waste of time? You wonder what on earth you were thinking and why you are doing this. Should you say to heck with it and just walk off the path and go home? Should you continue and trust the process? What is at the centre? What if there's nothing there? What if I'm lost?

This is a time of questioning. You may experience alternating bouts of optimism and discouragement. On one hand, it seems like things will all work out – the resources are there, you have what you need, you can see the path through. You have only to be patient, do what's necessary and trust the process. But then later it seems like you are repeating a pattern that you thought you'd already dealt with, perhaps a few years ago. Why is this issue coming up again? You might feel like you're a hamster running on a wheel going nowhere – it might be fun, but you're not making any real progress. It may seem like the only way to break out of the rut is to leave the path and break up the stepping stones, but if you're wrong you'll have even more work to repair the path and resume your journey.

In other words, you are likely to feel conflicting perspectives and impulses for a while. It may be important to ensure that both points of view are maintained – the one that says "yes, this can work, just keep putting one foot in front of the other," and the one that says "the only way this will work if for me to force the issue, push through and just make it happen." The trick is to find a way to balance the two without getting locked into extremes of either-or. Both impulses, both perspectives, both approaches have a valid and significant role to play. Trying to do one without the other is only likely result in you going in circles. And even though this may sometimes feel like that's what you're doing, remember the labyrinth whose path may wind back and forth but is actually going somewhere. Pay attention. Don't give up. Resist the urge to (over)react in an all-or-nothing way. Keep moving. Know that ultimately the answers you see are within. And laugh until your sides ache and your heart is free.
