Mar.20 – FULL MOON in LIBRA – PART ONE (00:09 of Libra)

The Full Moon in Libra on March 20th brings the last in the zero-degree Full Moon series.

This began at the Full Moon in Gemini (Nov.23.2018), followed by the Full Moon in Cancer (Dec.22.2018), the Lunar Eclipse in Leo (Jan.21.2019; a Lunar Eclipse is also a Full Moon), and then the Full Moon in Virgo (Feb.19).

We have 5 months of manifesting, culminating energy (Full Moons) that initiates the emergence of something new (zero degrees of each sign). This series of zero-degree Moons is super-rare. The last time we had 5 of these in a row was 1980! And the next series won't be until 2095, consisting of 6 Full Moons.

(FYI: By comparison, multiple zero-degree New Moons are even rarer, for reasons unknown. From 1900 to 2100, there are only 2 instances of 4 or more New Moons at zero degrees, compared to 8 Full Moons. The first set of zero-degree New Moons during that time occurred in 2014—four in a row—and the other set will be in 2034 with 6. Suffice to say this current series of Full Moons is unusual and remarkable!)

The effects of these Full Moons in your life might not be very obvious or noticeable, which wouldn't be surprising. The start of any sign (zero degrees) is often unconscious and nebulous, like when you first wake up and wonder where you are before your conscious mind is fully awake.

This 5-month initiation has been a long-term process that started in an Air sign (Gemini) and ends in another Air sign (Libra). Archetypally, this sequence has moved from awareness, ideas and information exchange with others to now figuring out how best to absorb and integrate that information to form a new inner balance which is connected to the world around you, especially through the people in your life.

In Gemini (Air), we explored new ideas, observations, curiosity, and ways of communicating and expressing what we perceive. In Cancer (Water), we encountered the personal implications – how we feel about it; whether we like it, hate it, fear it, are attracted to it, are repelled by it, want more or less of it, and how we can nurture it to become a positive force in our lives.

In Leo (Fire), our curiosity and emotional reactions became fuel to project out a path going forward. Our reactions, mental focus and feelings all reveal something about who we are as individuals. Have you felt more or less confident as a result of the experiences that crossed your path last November and December? Why or why not? How has your self-image changed or solidified since then?

The Leo phase of this Full Moon sequence was an especially important one. It was also a Lunar Eclipse, suggesting that it was more than just another stepping stone on the path, but actually a turning point in the journey. Making that turn required a sense of vision about the possibilities available to you.

The Leo threshold led us to Virgo (Earth) where you set about planning, shaping and fine-tuning what you want to manifest from this unfolding passage. This stage involved getting specific, concrete and dedicated in your commitment to your cause or goal.

Progressing at a snail’s pace is still progress,
and slow progress is better than no progress.
Never be stagnant, and never give up.
~ Richelle E. Goodrich, Slaying Dragons

Now we come to the final one in the series: Libra. It's time to re-establish balance after morphing from Air to Water to Fire to Earth and back to Air again. So: where are you in your journey since last November? If you feel like you're still trying to figure out what you're doing and how to go about it, that's okay. This is an unfolding process, not an event.

Where you are now at the last of the series is not the end of the road, but reaching the completion of an intricate beginning. You're getting ready to set out on a longer-term journey. Its purpose and potential are deeper and perhaps more complex than usual, requiring a more extensive preparation phase before setting out toward your far-reaching destination.

The unfolding of the Full Moon series is a bit like walking. You shifted your energy by pushing off with a new idea in Gemini/November, and leaned forward into your feelings about it in Cancer/December. At some point, your weight transferred to the other leg as you brought it forward, which sparked a momentum that carried you through Leo/January. You then became more grounded by stepping down with this second leg to stabilize your motion in Virgo/February.

And now you're completing that step in Libra/March, returning to the position where you began—but different this time because your perspective and viewpoint have changed as a result of those previous actions and choices. Now is a time to regain your balance by processing and integrating the ideas, feelings, motivation and goals of the last 4 months, and choosing which direction to take from here. Then you'll take the next step and the next one and the next one.

The next Full Moon (Apr.19) will also be in Libra but at 29°. At that time, having processed your experiences of the last 5 months, you can lean forward again for the next step, hopefully clearer about where you're going and why and how. Having taken the first cautious step these past months, you'll have a better idea of what you want to accomplish, what's involved, why it's important to you, and how best to go about making it happen. The second Full Moon in Libra gives you a chance to check your balance, adjust your trajectory and take the leap into your future.

So: what have you been up to since last November that might be the beginning of a longer-term goal?

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;
which grows higher than
the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)
~ e e cummings

The chart of the current Full Moon at 0° of Libra includes the Sun at 0° Aries – the world axis. The initial degree of the entire zodiac, not just Aries. The archetypal beginning of the beginning. The life force within the seed.

The Sun is tightly conjunct Chiron, just recently having made his final entry into Aries (Feb.18) where he will remain until 2026. (Read my article: Chiron in Aries ~ The Wounded Warrior.)

Chiron symbolizes the places where we are the most fragile, vulnerable and human; the places where we are not invincible or victorious—at least not in the ways we might want to be. With Chiron, there's always a "Ya, but..." that pulls back just before we reach what we hope will be the storybook ending.

Sun conjunct Chiron opposite Moon

And yet, Chiron also points to the ways that we still can and do rise victorious above our frailties and weaknesses. It's the do-it-anyway energy. If you don't like where you are—in pain or grief, or stuck in helplessness, disappointment or despair—it's essential that you find ways to keep moving in spite of all that. You might not make it as far as you had hoped but at least you won't be stuck where you are. You don't have to be defined by whatever is holding you back.

Aries is the warrior who musters his or her courage, daring, defiance and determination, and forges ahead in whatever direction or purpose calls to him/her. Put Aries and Chiron together and you have a dynamic in which your courage, audacity, defiance and boldness may feel the most vulnerable or out of reach. Yet, it is also by utilizing those qualities—just a little at a time, if necessary—that you can rise above your doubts, timidity or inhibitions.

The Full Moon opposing the Sun-Chiron conjunction speaks to the need to wrestle with our misgivings and misconceptions about others by confronting the parts of ourselves that are touched by them (in a positive or negative way). Or, we may need to pay attention to the ways that the outer world throws us off-balance, which is then complicated or amplified by fear of our own powerlessness.

This is what hides in the psychological shadow when we view only the other person or the outside world as "the problem." Our role in those interactions and our own buttons that get pushed—these are the other side of the equation. By examining and working with our side of things, it is possible to find courage and strength that we need to be our own hero.

It's pretty hard to change the world and feel like you've truly accomplished something, if those same fears and doubts still plague you inside. You'll always be looking around for something outside yourself to explain your own inner feelings. So, this Full Moon opposing Chiron and the Sun in Aries is an excellent time to explore that shadow side and find out what still haunts you from the other side of the outside situation.

Unbalance so as to re-balance.
~ Robert Bresson

Uranus quincunx Moon

Uranus is currently at zero degrees of Taurus, making an exact quincunx (150°) to the Moon and semi-sextile (30°) to the Sun. This is likely to bring irritation, frustration and perhaps erratic events that make it difficult to get a clear focus on what that shadow actually contains. Just when you think you see it, something distracts you out the corner of your eye and suddenly you may not be sure if there's something else there that you missed.

This may also be reflected in your relationships and interactions with others. And since Mercury is still retrograde and conjunct Neptune, misunderstandings and unexpected differences of opinion could take place. One possibility is that these miscommunications might actually reveal conflicts or issues that would benefit from some clarification or negotiation, so it might help to take a second look at what comes up.

Mercury Rx conjunct Neptune

On the other hand, this may also be a good time to try something new with your partner or close friends or loved ones. Eat at a restaurant with food neither of you have ever tried. Impulse purchases might lift the mood and make you feel freer—provided you don't wind up regretting the price tag later, or stress out about how you're going to fit your new pink elephant in the living room.

Uranus is also in Mutual Reception to Venus, meaning that they are in the sign that the other rules – Uranus is Taurus and Venus in Aquarius (using modern rulerships). Venus is also the planetary ruler of Libra and therefore the ruler of the Full Moon, so this is significant and projects Uranian energy onto this Full Moon even more-so.

Thinking outside the box in all things Libra and Venus may not only be helpful, but also be necessary and unavoidable. This could apply to encounters with a partner, spouse, close friend or anyone you interact closely with on a one-to-one basis. It might also apply to finances, possessions and resources; for example, you might have an opportunity to exchange goods or services through mutual favours, or an opportunity drops in your lap to buy, sell or invest in something of value to you. Again, don't dismiss caution and good judgment just because an opportunity comes your way.

The war between the sexes is the only one in which both sides regularly sleep with the enemy.
~ Quentin Crisp, Manners from Heaven: A Divine Guide to Good Behaviour

Venus rules the Libra Full Moon and Mars rules the Aries Sun. This pair of zodiac signs forms the me-we axis. Mars is about individuality while Venus is about relationship and interaction. When the two are in balance, they work well. Me and You. Brawn and Beauty. Force and Compromise. Reactive and Receptive. Each is appropriate in different situations, so it's important to have both available in your toolbox and you can bring out the one that will work the best for you in that situation.

Venus square Mars

In the Full Moon chart, Venus and Mars are in a square aspect (90°). This suggests the Libra and Aries energies might not be easy to bring into balance. If you are more comfortable with Mars and his forceful, independent, reactive, impulsive, courageous energy, he might not want to step back and let Venus take the helm in a situation that calls for a gentler touch of diplomacy, compromise, negotiation or grace.

On the other hand, if you tend to favour one and avoid the other, this might be a good time to let them wrestle together a bit so you can find a more constructive balance between them. This is especially so if Venus has a hard time taking the lead in your life. Why? Because Venus is in a scrappy, off-the-wall kind of mood. She's in Aquarius, so she's not likely to become waterlogged by sentimentality or sensitivity.

Venus is also in mutual reception with Uranus, so her Aquarian mode of expression is made stronger, making it easier for her to be more detached, objective, intellectual, visionary, and open to new perspectives. And Venus is the dispositor (ruler) of Mars in Venus' sign of Taurus, a sign of his detriment and therefore he's not feeling at his most Mars-y. Therefore, Venus may be more likely to have the last word in any argument between them. This is also reflected in the Full Moon which is in Venus' other sign of Libra.

We often think of Venus as sweet, demure, loving and compliant, but anyone who studies mythology knows that goddesses—the archetypal feminine—are usually quite a force to be reckoned with! Indeed, we are living in a time when a strong feminine dynamic is rising. Today's emerging archetypal feminine energy is no shrinking violet! She loves fiercely, is passionately outspoken, goes after what she wants, and values her independence while also treasuring her relationships with others.

So, this Full Moon is a time to explore the resilient side of your archetypal feminine energy. This applies to you no matter what gender you identify with, since we all have the archetypal feminine within us, as well as the archetypal masculine.

Have the courage to do what you're not ready to do.
~ Richie Norton

But don't count Mars out just yet! Mars gets some help from Saturn and Pluto, through a supportive trine aspect (120°). Saturn and Pluto are conjunct and will reach their closest proximity this year on May 1st (just shy of 3° orb), and they finally cross paths in January 2020. Saturn and Pluto are also fused together in parallel (currently just 0:05° apart by declination) and have been this way since the beginning of 2016.

Saturn and Pluto create a rough-hewn energy, combining Saturn's no-nonsense command of physical reality with Pluto's vice grip on the psychological realm. Saturn insists we keep it real and Pluto demands that we keep it authentic. Both are currently in Capricorn, so there is a continual background presence of a developing scaffold of structure. This isn't merely a growth exercise—we are building something substantial, and whatever structure we build is one we'll have to live in.

It's essential to hold a clear sense of reality and authenticity, as well as priorities and passions, in our hearts and minds during this process. There isn't a lot of wiggle room between Saturn and Pluto for denial or avoidance, unless you do it with such intense resolve that nothing else can penetrate your awareness—including (especially!) facts, compassion, receptivity and perspective. There's a difference between persistence and commitment to a goal versus obsessive rigidity that relentlessly demands "my way or the highway." Watch to see that when you reach out for the former, you're not falling into the latter.

So, Saturn and Pluto give Mars some extra armour, endurance and purpose when he's called on to battle with Venus through that square aspect between them. Your Inner Feminine would be wise not to underestimate your Inner Masculine (or anyone else's, for that matter). But conflict can be good. It can clear the air, bring the deeper issues out of hiding, and gives an opportunity to resolve differences.

If we don't acknowledge and respect our differences, how can we genuinely appreciate and honour what we share in common? If we only see one side of the polarity, then we're only seeing half of the whole picture, half of the whole person, half of the whole situation.

It doesn't mean you have to agree with something you don't agree with, but it helps to accept that life is diverse, as are people and perspectives. We all have our way of seeing things that makes sense to us; we all see a slightly different view of whatever there is to see. No zodiac sign knows this better than Libra, which always sees at least two sides to every story. At worst, Libra can paralyze you or polarize you, but at best it looks for diplomatic ways to bridge the gap between opposing viewpoints.

The trick is to stay open, to resist rigidity, and let yourself be okay with saying, "I don't know what it all means yet." Keep your mind's eye open to both sides of the psychological shadow—your "stuff" as well as the other guy's "stuff."

If either the Venus or Mars side of your psyche is weak or ineffective, then the other side is likely to be overdone in an attempt to compensate. So, if you're afraid of your Mars or don't know how to tap into its strength (anger, forcefulness, assertiveness, forthrightness), then you may lead with too much Venus – people-pleasing, overly compliant, seeing only the positive and dismissing the negative. If embracing your Venus energy feels too vulnerable, soft or weak, you might get stuck with your Mars always in the ON position by exuding intensity, intimidation or anger—always looking for something or someone to fight against, afraid you'll be attacked or engulfed if you relax your guard.

The point is that this Full Moon can give you a chance to support and strengthen the Venus and/or Mars side of you that is wobbly or inhibited, while learning to relax the other side a bit more. In other words, bring them into a better balance.

There is no energy unless there is a tension of opposites;
hence it is necessary to discover the opposite to the attitude of the conscious mind.

It's also wise to be careful that Venus and Mars don't become so locked into battle that each is determined to win at any cost and refuse to work out a mutually agreeable solution. For instance, in a confrontation situation, your Mars may insist on dominating and controlling what's happening, while your Venus tries to present a non-threatening, friendly face in hopes of "taming the tiger." Both are acting out of self-protection, but in very different ways. And by tilting too far one way or the other, it could create more problems than it solves.

Since Venus and Mars are both in Fixed signs (Aquarius and Taurus, respectively) and in a combative square relationship, there's a danger of getting paralyzed by indecision over which one to bring out. In a stalemate, everyone loses. It can help to find ways to be flexible about how you want to deal with to the situation. Try to centre yourself between Venus and Mars so you can respond more effectively with either of them in moderation.

Learning Triangle - Jupiter, Venus, Mars

Jupiter forms a Learning Triangle aspect pattern with Venus and Mars, which is partile (same degree – in this case, all at 23° of their respective signs). While Venus and Mars are square (90°), Jupiter sextiles Venus (60°) and quincunxes Mars (150°). Jupiter provides a different perspective that challenges them to try on other ways of seeing the situation.

So, Jupiter tells Mars that there is more to see in his blind spot or peripheral vision, and instead of a singular focus it can help to see the situation within a greater context. Jupiter also gently supports Venus by suggesting that she could benefit from framing her detachment and vision of possibilities within a context of wisdom, understanding and merciful morality.

Ideally, at the end of the day, the Venus and Mars sides of you will regard the other with respect, even if/when there is disagreement. You need them to be able to join forces to fight together when the situation calls for it, and that each can step aside and let the other handle things if that is likely to work better.

The Libra Full Moon is enticing us to create a more flexible, workable balance.

Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open,
you would be paralyzed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding,
the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds' wings.

Mar.21 – Venus square Mars (23:24 of Aquarius/Taurus)  (Mar.20 in HAST)

Your receptive, diplomatic side is arguing with your assertive, decisive side. The result is either a battle of wills between your Yin and Yang, or a new creative energy that harnesses both. This could manifest in the form of relationship problems, financial struggles, arguments about control, or you are propelled to take action with plans that have been percolating for a while. If you're usually more comfortable with your Yin side (receptive, diplomatic), you might feel a bit backed into a corner or forced to negotiate under pressure. If you're more at home in your Yang side (assertive, action-oriented), you may feel compelled to blunt or sheathe the sword you would prefer to smite your enemy with. Either way, this is about balancing the two sides and finding a new cooperation that works for both.

Mar.21 – Venus sextile Jupiter (23:43 of Aquarius/Sagittarius)  (Mar.22 in AU)

There is an abundance of creative inspiration, material enjoyment, feel-good pleasure in the air! Your luck and opportunity to attract money, love, resources and self-esteem are high right now. It may be relatively easy to attract the people, possessions and opportunities you want or need, but you'll still have to work to get them. On the other hand, your eyes may be bigger than your stomach (as mother would say) and you might be tempted to charm, flirt or bluff your way through a situation more than usual. There may also be a tendency to self-indulgence. These are not necessarily bad things, but it's probably wise to remember to use this energy to enhance your best judgement, not override it.

Mar.22 – Mars sextile North Lunar Node (24:14 of Taurus/Cancer)  (Mar.23 in AU)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

Including a day or two before and after today, this may be a time when opportunities come your way. Taking action could have results or implications that reach farther than you expect. You might feel more energetic, motivated or passionate than usual, and therefore find it easier to get moving on projects and plans. By the same token, if you move your body and take steps toward what you want, the incentive and energy could come to you to keep going with it; in other words, getting your physical energy moving could "prime the pump" mentally and emotionally. Remember that this could be any kind of energy—not just positive strides, but also anger, hostility, vindictiveness and rejection. Use this opportunity wisely.

Mar.22 – Sun conjunct Chiron (01:50 of Aries)  (Mar.23 in AU)

For a few days, you may become focused on physical, spiritual or psychological healing...or you might become aware of the need for it due to problems. Your physical vitality may be more susceptible to health problems, and your inner or spiritual strength and sense of purpose may feel a bit weak or vulnerable. However, you might also experience new motivation to build up your strength and endurance on all levels. Therefore, this could be a time when you embark on fresh health or fitness goals, or new directions that carve reformed purpose out of previous hardships. Psychologically, you could become aware of the ways that your self-esteem is undermined or sabotaged – either by outside situations or people or you doing it to yourself without realising it, or even ways that you do this to someone else. This is a good time to observe and learn about how these issues operate in your life, what role you play in this dynamic, and how you could make different choices. By increasing your level of acceptance of human imperfection, of both yourself and others, you can strengthen those areas where you now feel vulnerable. Since self-esteem (yours and others') can be a bit fragile now, boosting self-confidence through praise, support, encouragement and confidence can have a powerful and healing effect right now.

Mar.24 – Mercury Retrograde conjunct Neptune (16:49 of Pisces)  (Mar.25 in AU)

The imagination soars under this transit! Possibilities seem richer, insights appear more magical and creativity flows like liquid honey. Your intuition is likely to be more fluid, and you may even have psychic experiences. Dreams may be more vivid and active, including daydreams. You may feel a need for quiet meditation or just being alone with your own thoughts. Your mental focus may seem a bit blurred, although in the outer edges you may catch a glimpse of ideas and possibilities that you don't ordinarily notice. It can be an inspiring time if you are involved in creative activities, like artwork, music, writing and other creative forms of communication and self-expression. This is a time when your "Right Brain" (intuitive, creative, non-rational) may be very active. In fact, it might be a bit difficult to bring a sharp focus to your "Left Brain" (logical, rational, realistic). Your judgment and ability to be objective may be off, and you could be more prone to wishful thinking and flights of fantasy. If you're making an important decision now, it may be wise to do a reality check with a trusted friend before you commit yourself.

Mar.26 – Venus enters Pisces (until Apr.20)  (Mar.27 in AU)

Creativity, harmony and compassion permeate our experiences while Venus waltzes through Pisces. If you are an artist, musician, writer or other imaginative artisan, this can be a time of great creative inspiration. Even if you're not, this can still be a time when your appreciation of the arts is heightened and your sensual enjoyment of life increases. Relationships can be influenced by this placement, by encouraging more openness to love and romance. While this can make interaction smoother and more magical, it might also make you more vulnerable to deception or disappointment. Be receptive don't misplace your better judgment. This can also be a time when you are prone to feeling a Universal Oneness with humanity. You may find you have increased capacity for compassion, caring and connection with others. This, too, can be a mixed blessing – it can bring out your most loving side, but could also make you more easily taken advantage of. You might feel inspired to make a selfless sacrifice, or to donate money or resources as a form of service. It is all done in the name of Universal beauty, truth and compassion. Celebrate this transit by going to a concert of beautiful music, or stroll through an art gallery, or indulge in dreamy sensuality, or let yourself feel a loving connection with all that is around you.

Mar.27 – Venus sextile Uranus (01:03 of Pisces/Taurus)  (Mar.28 in AU)

Relationships, finances, resources and pleasures could benefit from spontaneously trying a completely different approach. If these areas of your life have been getting a little stale or too routine, this transit could shake things up a little...just enough to make things interesting and breathe some fresh air into your familiar routine. Unexpected income could come your way, or you might discover something you just can't resist buying, or you might have an opportunity to make new social connections. The upside of this transit is that it's possible to break free of old habits and enjoy spontaneous interaction. The downside could come in the form of impulse purchases that are beyond your budget, or behaving a bit recklessly or making snap decisions that you can't live with later. This energy is best used to break free of what restricts you, without shattering the foundation you're standing on.

Mar.28 – Mercury Stationary Direct (16:05 of Pisces; Direct until Jul.07)  (Mar.29 in AU)  ("What's a Station?"  "What does Retrograde mean?"  Read more about Mercury Retrograde.  Read more about Retrograde planets.)

Mercury finally turns direct! Yippeeee!!!! ;-) But we're not out of the woods just yet. For up to a week before and after today, you may experience mental intensity, confusion, and miscommunications or simply changes in your outlook. After being Retrograde for the last 3 to 3½ weeks, Mercury is now taking a slow turn to resume Direct motion. This period has challenged you to rethink and rehash things that required some fine-tuning or revision. The Direct station can be a time when clearer decisions start to emerge from the issues and struggles you've encountered during the retrograde period. Or, it might turn your perspective around so that you're seeing your situation fresh again.

Over the next couple of weeks, while Mercury is still in the Shadow, your brain may feel a bit like it's gradually waking up after a deep sleep. During this time, you can gradually put into practice the learning and knowledge you've gained from your retrograde "dreams" and moonlight visions. It will take time to get fully back into sync with the Mercury direct energy. So, take it slow, one step at a time, and untangle yourself one strand at a time.

Here are the key dates of this Mercury cycle (for North American Eastern Time):

Mar.31 – UK and Europe move ahead to Daylight Saving Time

If you live in the UK, Europe or in the Middle East, and if your region observes Daylight Saving Time, it's time to move your clocks one hour FORWARD. If you're not sure if this applies to you, check the change dates for your location on DateAndTime.com.

Mar.31 – Mars enters Gemini (until May.15)  (Mar.30 in HAST, AKDT, PDT)

Your physical and mental energy are likely to be more available in Gemini – in fact, maybe a bit too available! You typically have the energy to pursue opportunities and ideas, but this can also make you a bit distracted or shorten your attention span. Inspired ideas can lead to impulsive action, which is great when you want to be decisive, take the initiative or find courage in the moment. However, if your ideas are not well grounded or thought out, you might "shoot first and ask questions later." The more you can focus your mind to go after what you want, the more effective your actions will be. With Mars in Gemini, "the pen is mightier than the sword." When conflict arises, it is more likely to be fought and resolved with words and ideas, than with fists. This is a good time to mentally focus your intent and then act on your ideas.

Apr.01 – Sun stations Retrograde (31:00 of Aries)

The Sun goes retrograde today, for about 24 hours, inspiring people all over to make practical jokes and silly claims, and share fake news stories on social media. Oh wait—that happens all the time now! So, when did the Sun first go retrograde? And how long before it finally stops?? Only Mercury the Trickster knows for sure... (P.S. April Fool!)

Apr.02 – Mercury conjunct Neptune (17:08 of Pisces)   (Apr.01 in HAST)

Apr.03 – Mars sextile Chiron (02:34 of Gemini/Aries)   (Apr.01 in ADT, NDT, UK, AU)

This transit gives you the opportunity to take action that can bring some healing resolution to some ongoing problems you've been having. For example, if you've been suffering from weakened energy or chronic health problems, this transit could bring a bit of relief, especially if you're willing to invest some effort to move yourself forward. Or you might find that you have extra self-confidence to deal with a dilemma that has not wanted to go away. You might also find yourself in a position where you can help others find some relief or empowerment related to their suffering and chronic struggles. Problem solving of all kinds can benefit by taking an attitude of proactively doing what you can do, and then let go of what you can't.

Apr.04 – Pluto conjunct South Lunar Node (23:03 of Capricorn)  (Apr.05 in AU)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

Pluto is opposite the North Lunar Node and therefore also conjunct the South Node. The North Node is like an arrow pointing toward future growth, so the South Node is where you've "been there, done that." You may be confronted by something you need to let go of, which can lead you to either release it or struggle with it by trying to hold on to it. Pluto in this case can indicate a struggle around letting go of obsessive control, or perhaps learning a better way to deal with an external situation that has some control over you.

Alternatively, you might find it's time to let go of your focus on a particular issue or problem, which has preoccupied you for some time. The issue itself may or may not be eradicated, but you no longer need to keep it as a primary focus in your life. You can make room for other things now. Either way, Pluto's message is that in order for something new and healthy to emerge, you need to let go of something old that has been a primary concern or focus.

Pluto's lesson is to respond to issues that are within your realm of control while avoiding the temptation to maintain control over everything and everyone around you. This is about separating healthy, grounded empowerment from unhealthy "power-over" others. Keep your eyes, ears, heart and awareness open and watch for similar or repeating patterns.

Pluto conjunct the South Node and opposite the North Node last occurred in 2002, and after this year won't happen again until 2036.
